Layers of Fear (PC)

Continuation of my second play through since the update. I do like this game and the additional content that dropped with the games full release (I completed the early access version) has kept this second run fresh. I've already nearly shat myself a couple of times. :dread:

Having completed Link’s Awakening earlier today I’ve moved back to Grid Autosport, I’ll leave starting Ori for another day.

Guys is no one playing Sayonara Wild Hearts?! :(

I've really enjoyed my time with it, and the (fairly easy) satisfaction of trying to get the gold ranks. And the pop soundtrack has scoring my car drives and gym sessions for about a week now. :D

Went back to Vampyr last night after a long hiatus only to spoil my no kill run by killing a main character by mistake, so I've decided to be a right evil git and kill loads of residents. Certainly enjoying myself a lot more.

Also gone back to Marvel UA3 and finally completed the final level and whilst it was rather repetative and the camera was annoying the game was an utter blast and I hope we get another one in a few years time.

Been playing Persona 5 past few days, nearly on September. Although I'm taking some time off and started Spyro 1 (bought remake trilogy on ps4). I'm really enjoying it and addition of subtitles are great, should've been there at launch though.

It's been pretty easy so far then again I did fully complete PS1 version not *that* long ago on PS3, I remember my first time it took me ages to get first part of game fully completed back then on actual PS1 console.

Zelda links awakening - decent affair, but don’t enjoy it as much as i had hoped
Efootball - best footie game ever made, but the pace is just too fast. Konami is bringing out an update at the end of this month to correct issues.

I thought you hated Nintendo, so much so that you actually want them to drop out of the hardware market altogether?

...and yet you're playing Zelda.

Having been on a nostalgia high thinking back to the Yogascast Jingle Jam over the last few days, I'd been watching the livestreams again of those I'd seen live during the event. Yesterday, I arrived at the day I remembered most. Day 3 (which was the last full day I'd watched) contained a look at the Bristol Christmas markets, and the Feed a Cow For Christmas livestream. Lewis, Duncan, and Sjin took to Farming Simulator 2019 to do as the title says, starting from stratch.

Now, why I am bringing this up here? This is currently playing! Ah, yes. See, back when I watched that stream, I wanted to give one of the games a go. And even though Farming Simulator 2017 was available on Game Pass, I didn't jump on it then. Having rewatched that stream, though, I now have. I've been on the fence ever since first watching the three feed a cow for Christmas, and now that I've played it, was it worth it?

Six hours of a first playthrough and I want to go back for more. I'd say yes. I'm now hooked. It took no time at all for me to start exploring the systems in place, and the world, once my first crops were planted. I looked around the various fields, feeling that I should probably buy one before ending my first playthrough. Cue me giving help to the owner of field number 19 through the mission system, harvesting his crop, preparing the field to grow more, then planting the seeds. And then buying the field off him with all the money he'd given me.

It is a pretty good game to be playing, and depending on how long I do stick around with it (the Switch is getting FarmSim'20 in December, so I want to at least look it up), I plan on going for all out conquest if I can. Taking a field, probably one in-game day at a time.

Picked up the Jak Collection on PS4 during the sale last night and oh what a fabulous trip down memory lane I have been having!

There is often the concern when returning to a favoured title after many years that when the rose tinted specs are removed and the old game resurfaces in the cold light of the modern world that it won't stand up. I was very pleased to have my expectations confirmed that this would not be the case with Jak & Daxter! :toot:

It's just such a brilliant platform game, everything about it is just so well oiled and polished that it's like a little shining nugget of genius from the past. The seamless world is still impressive even in the modern age of ubiquitous "open world" games. Moving directly between levels and hub world without any loading felt so refreshing on release and still brings a smile today, and the levels themselves are just so much fun!

Cleared out Sandover Village, Sentinel Beach and Forbidden Jungle in last nights session - 100% on the first two but I can't for the life of me remember where 5 more precursor orbs are in the Jungle!

Going to be a blast playing through this again and I'm really keen to see how Jak II feels now as I was a bit let down by it back in the day - hoping that some time and a change in perspective will let me see it in a new light!

There are a few performance hiccups which I don't remember from the original PS2 release - some slow down that I'm positive was not there before etc. but nothing too worrying yet.

Hooked on Call of Duty Mobile. I’ve not played a COD online since the original Morden Warfare back in 2007. But yes I’ll be getting Modern Warefare at the end of the month as this has got me back.

Just started AI The Somnium files. Enjoying it so far. Has actually made me laugh out loud a couple of times, which I wasn't expecting. Looks like it's going to be an intriguing yarn. Kills the battery on Switch mind.

Continuing with Yakuza Kiwami 2, just got to the cabaret club. It's basically the same as in 0, with some interesting character revelations on the way.

Continued my adventures on Jak & Daxter last night, the slow down in places that it never used to have on the PS2 is annoying but it's still so much fun to be going back through this wonderful game.

Made my way to the second hub and cleared the first two levels there (Boggy Swamp and Precursor Basin) - still amazed at just how much of it is still firmly stuck in my head. And at how quickly it's going by!

WWE 2K18 (PS4)

Was bought as a gift a couple of Christmases ago. I was going to trade it in but decided against it. Started it again last night. I don't know a great deal about modern wrestling, but I I'm enjoying it a lot more this time even though gameplay is quite difficult to grasp.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 - unlocked Cyclops.... Unlocked Punisher.... Got hired fast but will return in time.

Smash Bros Ultimate - got 100% on the world of light. Started again for new game plus.

Wish my image sig would work

Bioshock 2

I had an urge to play this over the weekend for some reason, having not played it before. Enjoying it so far...I always liked the setting and design of Rapture, so it's good to explore it again.

Dipping in and out of a few games right now. Horizon Chase Turbo, Borderlands 2 (both of which I've been streaming a little of) and Dark Cloud on PS4 and also Futurama on OG XBOX. Hopefully I don't lose focus in any of them as I often do when playing multiple games. Horizon and Borderlands seem perfect games for dipping in and out of so I should be okay.

Gone back to Yooka Laylee on PS4 to try and 100% the game before release but the later worlds such as the casino and boggy swamp are just bland and boring.
