Been trying to play Wreckfest using a bit of software called alt.controller which essentially allows you to control games with only the mouse cursor but I'm having a few issues getting it to work in a satisfactory manner.

The software has literally no instructions and I'm having to pretty much wing it. found a couple of tutorials on Youtube but they're either for a really old version of the software or in German.

I'm trying to get a similar setup to this:

Albeit with a somewhat less complex number of inputs.

If you can get that to work at a level you're comfortable with that'll be ace, Iron!

I've used it a few years ago to play trackmania but I used the preset control scheme for that particular game, this time I'm making a scheme from scratch and the lack of documentation is making things tricky. Setting the steering sensitivity will take some time, atm there's a ridiculous amount of understeer.

Also, Wreckfest seems to dislike running alongside it so there's a bit of input lag going on too.

Just finished Chris' bit after having finished Leon. It's not bad as I thought it'd be but it would still be bottom of my RE list honestly as it's mess and the quality isn't there. I'm having fun though, save some horrible bits.

I'm going to do Jake's tomorrow (and Ada if I have time).

I’m currently just chipping away at Diablo 3: Eternal Collection (Nintendo Switch) at the moment, it’s a great pick up and play game and even though I had not played it for almost a week it does not take long to get back into the swing of things.

Still only on Act 1 so it’s one that will take me awhile to get through.

As I've completed Phoenix Wright VS Professor Layton, I've decided to go back to the Layton games I still haven't completed, so I'm playing Miracle Mask and thankfully it's much better than the pretty awful Spectre Call. I really like the way the game goes through Layton's past even if I'm not that keen on the 3D character models.

I liked Spectre Call better than Miracle Mask. To be honest, that prequel trilogy doesn't get anywhere near Lost Future levels of quality. I was a little disappointed by it for that reason.

I'm slowly making my way through Hitman and I'm really enjoying it.
I'm really gooseberry fool at it and level 2 in Sapienza took me over 3 hours due to me exploring and chucking as many unconscious guards as I can into boxes but I'm loving the slower pace and the idea of not going all Rambo.

I got the base game with Game pass and I'm going to rent the ultimate edition and Hitman 2 next week :toot: .

Started Final Fantasy IX on Monday. I'm streaming it on the GRcade Twitch channel and I have to say sort from XI and XIV it's the most time I've actually put into a Final Fantasy game. It's pretty frigging good so far, though I have no idea how far in I am, just reached some place where the Red Mage Rat is from. Will lily get back to it on Monday now, but yeah. T'is good.

Oh, using that ESRGAN mod too, so the game looks pretty nice consider it's nearly a 20 year old game. One funny thing with it being wide screen is in in-game cut scenes where the game is stuck at 4:3 and the mod makes it 16:9 you can see characters standing off screen ready to walk on. Like The Watching Artist said, it's like they are waiting off stage.

I'm going to be honest, I'm finding RE 2 too difficult for me me even on the normal difficulty. It doesn't help that the aiming is for gooseberry fool. Enjoyment has turned to frustration. I've deleted my save file and will start again on the easier setting to see how I get on.

Are you waiting for your aim to steady before shooting? If not it will be all over the place.

Yep, but I've died twice as zombies chew my face off while attempting to steady my aim. :fp:

As I say I'll try it on the easier setting to see how I get on, but if I still struggle then I'll stop playing it. I'm too damn old to be frustrated by a video game.

So as disappointed as I was with the new loot loop Destiny's come up with for this season of the annual pass, the story they've injected seems to be... Good? Amazingly.

The Drifter has been the best character in the game since he came onboard after Forsaken and it's around him the game gives you the first significant decision in its 5 year history: side with the Vanguard, or the Drifter.

Of course I chose the latter and he duly sent me on some missions (old heroic missions with new voiceovers but still). All is going well, a storied character from the lore is teased, as is the new Thorn exotic hand cannon, and then...bam. crucible challenge. Now I have to go play a game mode I hate and kill 25 people.

So close, and so far.

I tend to agree. I seem to have lost all remaining patience with games that muck me about with what I consider unreasonable difficulty spikes. I'm staying away from RE2 because I already know I would get too anxious playing it (Mr X, I'm looking at you), but reading your comments just reinforces my decision to try not to buy games, that although fun to watch others playing, I know will frustrate me if I attempt the same.

I am going to give it another try on an easier setting as it clearly is a good game that's had a lot of love poured into it, but if it continues to frustrate through it being too difficult (it's far more difficult than previous RE entries and more so than Silent Hill 3 which I began recently) then I will bin it off.

So I began RE2 on the "Assisted" setting and yep I'm far more comfortable with it. While it still presents a challenge and is as frightening I feel that I can now just enjoy the game without the added frustration.

Still plodding on with Hitman. I just finished Club 27.

I accidentally snapped a guys neck at the start of the mission and decided to go for a bloodlust run and ended up with exactly 50 kills at the end of a super successful mission with my favourite being blowing up everyone in the room with propane tanks during a birthday party.
That'll teach them for having a vegan Birthday cake.
