Dying Light 2 intrigues - I mean the first game looked amazing and I was really very fond of the game play (apart from the dreaded night zombies), so I'm hoping the sequel will up the ante on visuals.

For now, I'm playing a mix of things. My new XPS PC rig is complicating matters, as my entire Steam library is suddenly all totally playable. Also, that time three years ago I paid-up for Star Citizen only to discover my PC at the time could barely play it...? Yeah, now that's a viable time sink, too. Just a shame I got rid of my Hotas X flight stick last year...

Star Citizen is still in Alpha. I doubt it'd run well on any system.

I’m trying to play Amplitude on PS3 but it keeps crashing all the time forcing me to do a hard reset. Has anybody else tried this game and had the same problem?

Edit: Tried it on PS4 instead and it works just fine.

Shadow of the Colossus.

Quite enjoying my time so far (3 colossi down) but I'm not yet at the point where it has astounded me.

The world is certainly intriguing and immersive, that's for sure.

I'm on the third case of Phoenix Wright Trilogy, Turnaround Samurai I think it's called.
On the final day of investigating now, and I'm not that keen on the investigating parts, I greatly prefer the ones in Ace Attorney Investigation.

Decided to fire up GT Sport and AC Odyssey through the Pro before starting my late shift today. Both look lovely through the 4k, very impressed. I saw there is a lot more content in GTS, which is cool. Odyssey feels very much like Origins, which is no bad thing, however the additional RPG element does add to it..

Fallout 76 still hasn't arrived in the post. Was hoping to look at that this weekend.

Technically AC O isn’t 4K, not even on the X (though it’s near).

I can tell on my 4K tv easily enough but it is gorgeous all the same.

So it's a gorgeous game but no real effort to take advantage of Pro or X from Ubisoft then?

I did play GTS on my vanilla PS4 and there is a definite jump in quality there on the Pro.

It does take advantage, 1400p on Pro and 1800p on X but not full 4K. It’s HDR is great tho.

I've not seen it running on the standard PS4 so can't compare, I just thought it looked stunning. I need to upgrade the 4k to HDR though. Bit broke at the moment.

I've been whiling away the hours playing Remember Me (2013) on PC. Frankly, I'm staggered by the game's visual design. It's absolutely beautiful. It's a six year-old game, but it looks like it could have rolled out of a studio yesterday. Fantastic attention-to-detail in the level design. Made by Dontnod, whom these days seem to have forgotten they once crafted this exquisite game featuring a clever, resourceful, strong and sexy woman as its lead protagonist. As far as I'm concerned, Nilin's right up there with Sheva Alomar (RE5) and Faith Connors (Mirror's Edge).

Yep a superb game seemingly forgotten.

I tried the game once, and it's a magnificent looking beast shackled to a forgettable C-tier actioner.

Some of the concept art is strawberry floating insane however:

I've beat two of the campaigns in Box Boy on Switch, now doing the co-op one by myself (I had no idea there was an option for this).

This might be the best one. Which is cool, because I really did not feel like that at the start.

I remember seeing some of the concept art prior to the games launch (might have been in Edge). Very impressive.

I enjoyed the game myself, but it always gave the impression that it may have started life as a more open world affair.

I’m currently splitting my time between Nioh and Dead Cells.

I not really sure what’s going on in Dead Cells. I have 3 ability runes and 3 areas available to explore right now, Ancient Sewers, Ramparts and Ossuary. Not really sure where I should be going next.

Remember Me is a wonderful game

I liked the b-tier arkham/uncharted fusion, but the memory parts were the highlight and sadly few in number. They were like 3D ghost trick.

The art though is fantastic

Started Fallout 76 as planned. It's a very pretty game no doubt and while it's early days so far so good. Certainly better than expected. I think, much like Conan Exiles, I'm going to enjoy the camp building element most of all.

Back to Days Gone tomorrow.
