One thing I really liked in FFXII is that it warns you before saving in certain areas that you can’t easily go back outside prompting you to make a second save just in case. I wish more games did this.

Been playing some more ME2, but I find it difficult to just stick to one game at a time. Found myself in the mood for some horror so started Silent Hill Downpour. (PS3). Enjoying it so far and it's pretty scary.

Jumping between Grid Autosport and Link’s Awakening, loving them both.

Link's Awakening (great) and Sayonara Hearts (great).

And I dipped my toe into Celeste's DLC which was surprising and inventive and (also) great within like 5 screens, but have put that off until I can dedicate the zone-like absorption time to make good headway in it!

I gave in and bought life is strange 2. I'm quite enjoying it all it really doesn't feel like you're making decisions that actually effect anything. Also ever single adult in this game seems highly irresponsible.

Legend of Zelda on NES.

Since Ocarina was my first Zelda I’ve always struggled with the games that came before it. I’ve started the original Zelda so many times but never finished it. I either get bored, stuck, lost or a combination of all three.

I’m determined to finally finish it this time so I’m using a walkthrough. Just cleared the 5th dungeon which I’m certain is further than I’ve gone before.

I've beaten main story of Yakuza 6 and I see why lot of people see it as worst Yakuza title, because it's for me too. Honestly, it went downfall in these last chapters, the battle system doesn't feel fun as others, some really stupid plots.

That being said I still enjoy it, think I'm going for all side quests/other optional stuff before moving onto to Yakuza 0.

Played Gears 5 this morning. These new characters are still completely generic as strawberry float.

Burnt through the rest of Life Is Strange 2 finished and finished chapter four. The basic story is pretty good but it's annoying because I feel that if it happened in real life Sean's best option is to just go to the cops from the start, I don't see how any of the charges would stand up in court.

Some characters seem really one dimensional
the gas station owner in the first episode playing the straight up racist.
.

The choices you get to make seem to make very little difference to anything and there are a load of false choices. Life Is Strange at least had a few moments that really changed major details of the plot.
One major example is while working on a weed farm a co worker suggests that you rob the people running the place, there is literally noway of saying no you have to get involved in the robbery.
Also making different choices barely changes the dialogue between characters.

There also seems to be a load of plot-holes.
The FBI are looking for your brother at one point and can't him although he's publicly using his telekinetic powers at a church in the states.

Worst of all they seem to have gotten rid of any puzzle solving from the first game.

Overall I enjoyed it the story is well written and you do feel sorry for the kids.

I think you’ll find more nuance the more you play and when you play as Kait.

God that game is good. Best in class at what it does. Executes with everything with style and imagination.

After finishing Legend of Zelda on NES I'm in the mood to play something similar. Current front runners are Startropics on NES, Golden Axe Warrior on Master System and Neutopia on TurboGrafx 16.

I hope so. Young Fenix and his buddy are just so painfully boring to me.

Also hate those Snatcher things. The game just turns into a total crapshoot when these things appear. They seem like a misguided decision in terms of the overall game design.

Up to chapter 10 in Bayonetta 2. Scanning my daily amiibos to make the buying of upgrades easier.

I'm missing so much in each chapter but it's an excuse to go back and collect everything on a second run-through.

Yeah been doing side stuff, some of it is bit naff but lot of it is fun enough to try for 100% completion (oddly, I can get almost Platinum trophy before 100% as last trophy is basically just re-do last boss fight on hardest difficulty). It helps that I'm taking it easy instead of playing it all day because some of optional stuff are really dumb as strawberry float (Trying to find cats to befriend is genuinely worst because I've yet to see one cat I need in one of cities, reading online didn't help as I've done all of that and the strawberry floater wouldn't show up)

I've also been playing Project Diva Future Tone (Colourful Tone) since my bf bought that on my ps4, enjoying it even if I'm rubbish at it.

Startropics on NES. I’m enjoying this for the most part but the controls are very sluggish with all character movement strictly grid based.

This format works great for a typical JRPG where quick movement isn’t needed but for a Zelda style game it’s less than ideal.
