Probably a lack of TV time made me move on to something else. Anyway, took the plunge on Switch and now I'm back in love again. It definitely has it's problems, the ai of your partners is dreadful, the environments are a little empty and there is far too much wandering around between objectives (particularly in some of the towns). But it looks lovely and has the greatest videogame character of all time so that cancels out the negatives. Drippy is utterly superb and hats off to Dave Coaches for the voice work.

Fast travel has now unlocked which makes going back to previous locations that little bit less tiresome. Combat is still hit or miss, it's either easy or punishingly hard. Magic restoration items are too expensive and don't recover enough points and your ai partners burn through their mp and then become useless.

Just finished Ori and the Blind Forest off this morning, really is a wonderful game that’s very easy to recommend.

So for now that just leaves me with Grid Autosport and The Witcher 3 for the next couple of weeks. The few hours I’ve put into TW3 have been great so far as well.

Saints Row IV (360)

Continuation of my second play through. Such thoroughly enjoyable game.

Playing a little bit of Top Spin on OG XBOX this evening. It holds up so well, for a 2003 sports game it’s fantastic. I have so much fun whenever I fire up this game, best 50p I’ve ever spent.

Love it when you're so engrossed in a good game that you don't even notice the evening moving in. Been playing Saints Row IV for hours. Looked up and suddenly realised my games room was in darkness save for the TV.

Thought I'd better have a break, though.

Top Spin was brilliant!

Would love a new Top Spin. Or a game in the style of Virtua Tennis.

Yooka Laylee and The Impossible Lair kinda put me in the mood to play Tropical Freeze, so I'm playing that on Wii U.

I'm up World 4. It's still such an awesome game. So much work has went into it. And I felt so at home with the physics immediately.

I like a good tennis game, going right back to Match Point (C64), Tennis (GB) and Super Tennis (SNES). The few tennis titles that we've had in subsequent years have seemed a bit clunky, albeit I did enjoy Mario Power Tennis on the Wii and Ultra Smash on the U. I haven't bought an OG Xbox title for ages but I'll keep an eye out for Top Spin!

Definitely, Gem - I had that exact experience last Sunday and it was surprising and cool :-) .

The massive clear out of games I've recently had has made choosing what to play so much easier.

Everyone is chilling at home so I'm back to Saints for a few hours.

I've been on Star Ocean kick lately as I'm juggling between Star Ocean 5: IAF & Star Ocean 3: Till the End of Time - I'm on second playthrough to try see all of PAs in the whole game alongside getting Relia's ending, on harder difficulty. Will be doing one more playthrough too to have it beaten on hardest difficulty then I'll decide what to do for rest of trophies. Despite agreeing with lot of people that it's worst Star Ocean game, I still honestly enjoy it.

Star Ocean 3 I've only about five hours into but already can tell it's strongest Star Ocean game, although I'm having problems with the combat -- purely because I'm too used to Last Hope style. But other than that, looking forward to playing more of it.

Going to pick up first game on PS4 when it comes out in December, and I might pick up Star Ocean Last Hope on PS4 just to have the collection there. I like Last Hope, even if it has cheesy dialogue that's tad much at times :eyes:

Played a bit of Grabbed by The Ghoulies on OG XBOX over the past couple of days. It’s not bad but it’s very repetitive and the controls are really odd.

I remember that being a very nice looking, somewhat unique title visually. How's it hold up?

It looks just fine, typical Rare really. My only gripe is the one note gameplay. Thus far all you ever have to do is clear the room of enemies to open the exit, find a hidden book then move on.

Sure the game throws some different victory conditions at you like time limits or having you kill only specific enemies and it might change later I don’t know but right now there’s just not enough variety.

Bioshock 2

Pretty sure I’m close to the end now. All of the Little Sisters have been dealt with, and I’ve just arrived in Persephone.
I feel like it already could’ve ended about an hour or two earlier, so I don’t know how much longer it’ll be, but I’m still enjoying it. It just feels a bit drawn out and repetitive now. I’m really not a fan of the story being told through audio recordings and radio transmissions either. It’s okay at times, but literally the whole plot is told this way, which grates a bit. As a result I don’t actually know what’s going on now really, and have lost track of the different characters and their motives for various things. Would imagine I’ll finish it sometime this week, and then I have Minerva’s Den to play through as well.

428 Shibuya Scramble.

Its a wild, wild ride. Basically "24" meets "Yakuza". The pictures etc are of great quality and really draw you into the game world. And the characters are just fantastic.
