Getting bored or Borderlands 3, so downloaded SteamWorld Heist on Switch Lite. It's very enjoyable and easy to pick up for a few minutes to do a level.

Wish my image sig would work

It's my favourite 2D Metroid :shifty:

Metroid Fusion is my fave of the 2D games as well.

How much of that is down to it being the first I really played is hard to tell, but I've never really got on with Super Metroid or the original in the same way as I have with Fusion.

I prefer Super Metroid but only just. Anyhoo, I’ve finally found all the items and I’m ready to face SA-X again.

The original Metroid while good for its time has aged really badly and there’s really no reason to play it now since Zero Mission exists.

Metroid II was the first Metroid I played and I was terrible at it, kept getting lost and didn't really know what I was doing.

I was about 12 at the time and had never really played anything like it aside from Wonderboy III (which is very similar to a metroidvania type game).

I think Fusion is a tad too linear and getting some of the upgrades is just no fun at all. There’s one in particular where you need to chain together a load of Shinesparks which was a nightmare.

I'm playing the campaign for CoD Infinite Warfare and it is surprisingly great so far. Really enjoying it.

Edit - Sorry for starting this

I have been tempted to pick up the older CoD games now for a one-and-done through their singleplayer modes, especially as ones like Blops 3 and IW won't run well enough on my aging PC and the PS4 versions are bargain bin fodder in GAME etc

I got Infinite Warfare for 5 quid new online. Worth it. Might pick up a few others and see what they are like.

Picked Pokemon Let's Go back up recently after a bit of a break.

I know this wasn't that popular with the hardcore fanbase but for someone that only completed Red and Gold on the Game Boy and has no interested in spending hours and hours levelling up Pokemon, I really enjoy the simplicity to this. I even enjoy the catching mechanics :shifty:

I don't think Let's Go is disliked by most of the fanbase? Like sure it's not for everyone but plenty of people appreciate it for what it is.

I guess I'm talking about the more vocal, "hardcore" minority. I've seen a lot of people say how they don't want it to become a "thing".

It certainly sold decent numbers.

I think most I see myself and I agree with isnt that it becomes a 'thing' more it is how they proceed with the series. Which they aren't. Let's go is alright, but so for me it isn't as good or enjoyable as normal Pokémon.

Chucked in a few mods, started a fresh game.
