Enjoying Modern Warfare at the moment, well, that is when it's not requiring yet another bleeding update!

I figure I should get some of this OG XBOX collection I’m amassing played so I’ve gone back to Futurama. Last time I played through the Fry section right now I’m playing through Bender’s part.

The game isn’t amazing and the platforming can be pretty janky at times but I feel much like the Family Guy game which is also on XBOX the series trademark humour kinda carries it.

EDIT: Just hit the Leela section and right from the get go I’m facing suicide bombers who you can’t seem to avoid... great.

Playing Middle Earth Shadow of War. This is pretty good, they improved on a lot of stuff from Shadow of Mordor. The environments are a bit more varied.

Played Shadow of War for about 5-6 hours yesterday. This is a phenomenal game.

Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade. Although I’ve started a few I’ve never finished a Fire Emblem game. Having been inspired by Kriken’s recent streaming I’ve decided to finally make a proper effort toward finishing one.

I reached the 4th chapter last night but wasn’t really concentrating and made some silly avoidable mistakes like wasting XP on a character that didn’t really need it, not understanding how the support system works and forgetting to buy supplies while I had the chance so I was struggling a bit.

I’m gonna start over tonight, take my time and pay a bit more attention this time around. Gonna sound like a total noob but I feel a tutorial might help.

EDIT: Turns out there was a tutorial, I just missed it somehow. Even then it only cover the absolute basics.

Return of the Obra Dinn. It's incredible, which I kinda thought it would be. But now I'm worried that I won't be able to find another game that ticks the same boxes.

I polished it off in a day or two and spent the next week pining for something similar.

There's nothing :(

Thankfully my intelligence shortfall and occasional confusion with the time mechanic means its probably going to take me well above the average suggested playtime. This is a very good thing. But gutted that there are no other games of this type. I feel like The Outer Wilds should scratch the itch, but the setting and the feeling of just being completely lost did nothing for me (i still feel dirty saying that but its true).

Beat Shadow of War last night. Started Dead Cells.

This is addictive. And it's just the kind of Roguelike that I can get into. I usually don't like this genre. The combat is satisfying and I love the way the Dead Cells system works for unlocking permanent abilities/aids.

Farthest I made it so far was the clock knight boss. He creamed me.

Completed Concrete Genie last night, wonderful little game shame it was a little bit on the short side as the final third really changed up the gameplay really rather nice and it would've been great if they expanded on it.

The thing I see recommended most similar to Obra Dinn is this - https://store.steampowered.com/app/2412 ... nishments/

Not played it myself, but it's on my wishlist. Even if it isn't that similar to Obra Dinn, it has great reviews either way...

Cheers. I have downloaded that games sequel (Devils Daughter) on games with gold this month. So that's good timing.

To anyone else - Her Story is also fantastic. PC or iOS only though, I played it iPad and really dug it a couple of years ago. I should check out his most recent work (Telling Lies).

That's good to know. I have done minimal reading up on it for obvious reasons.

Got round to completing Untitled Goose Game the other day (but none of the after game lists have been touched by me this far!), now I'm back into Breath of Fire and Tetris.

Making slow but steady progress in Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade. After a couple of do-overs where I made some silly mistakes I finished chapter 5 today still casualty free although I could do with some more cash to by resources with.

Finished Dead Cells after about 10 runs, but it still keeps dragging me back. I found a new set of areas, killed a big eyeball boss, kinda eager to see where this path takes me.

Want to start a new play through of FE Three Houses after I'm done with Dead Cells. Will do Blue Lions, I think.

Cool to see you sticking with it.

Money in the game seems to be sparse and then it arrives all at once, but occasionally there will be enemies holding gems you can sell that you can steal with your thief, but this only works if their inventory has space. Also your thieves can steal lockpicks other thieves are holding, which stops them getting treasure or gold (the latter which you won't get from killing them) from chests before you do.

Back on with The Witcher 3, only one thing I’m not too keen on so far,

Gwent :shifty:

Partly because I’m crap at it and also because I’m enjoying exploring and doing quests in the rest of the world that I just never take part in it anyway.

I've started Farming Simulator 19. On PC. This is either going to go well or end up like every other game that's not GTA V. However, I feel I will be getting back more to PC gaming for a year or so. This Lenovo Yoga I've been using as a main system has been great, but it has left my MSI laptop filling pretty much the same duty as my old Xbox One for the One X unless I'm editing a video together. That means I pretty much have not been using it for anything else.

But, I feel the Yoga's time is coming to an end (I doubt a factory reset would be able to restore it back to what it once was), so that leaves me with the MSI gaming rig, since anything smaller than 15 inches these days seems to have absolutely poor storage capabilities, and I'm not completely willing to let the Yoga retire yet. Meaning the MSI is becoming my main-use laptop, which should get me playing more stuff on it.

As for Farming Simulator 19, it feels better than 17. They got rid of solar panels and other income-generating placeables (for whatever reason), but that's easily remedied by a mod or two. The handling of vehicles feels better, there's a few new things to get to grips with, and I still need to try out the new mission system in the game.

Oh, and since I'll be spending time gaming on the PC I can get back to GTA San Andreas, I guess. Since I abandoned it after just one play session as I usually do with games on PC.
