I skipped a lot of those late-game things, there are at least 7 other games in the series waiting afterwards. You can carry on playing after finishing the story in 'premium' mode so you can finish it and then do all the side stuff.

I rarely go back to games once the credits have rolled so I try to do as much as I can in one playthrough. I'm not even sure I'll be able to beat Amon, in Yakuza 0 I raised my attack stats through the roof and still struggled with the Amons.

You don't have the option of spamming tiger drop in 0 though.

Is the heat action you activate from quite a way off from the opponent?

No it's a counter which can take whole health bars off enemies. You learn it from Komaki.

Then I must already have it, I'll bear it mind.

Still playing large amounts of Dead by Daylight and Destiny with chums

DbD is great fun but they need to sort out their matchmaking and general interface soon

Just rage quit from Octopath Traveler having spent over half and hour trying to beat Ophilia's chapter 3 boss, had it down to around 3000 hp and it wiped out my entire party with two consecutive attacks.

Nah, can't be arsed playing Burnout Paradise anymore. 7 hours in, I'm done. I feel the same way about as I did years ago. Grindy, annoying events, weird physics, irritating traversal stuff. I don't get the love for it.

There's been much better games than Paradise released since that have done the same thing much better. Even around the same time as it, with Midnight Club: Los Angeles releasing later that same year.

I've been playing Disco Elysium for the last few days and I love it so much. Unless it severely gooseberry fools the bed later, it's a lock for my GOTY and there's a spot on my favourite games ever list just waiting for it. It feels genuinely reactive in a way I don't think any other RPG I've played matches. Oh, and it's hilarious too, consistently making me laugh a few times an hour.

Everything about this game feels tailor made to appeal to me.

I don't know what it is that puts me off but I just think it looks and sounds crap.

The art style is very much ugly-beautiful. It's a hideously gorgeous thing and definitely not for everyone.

Beaten first playthrough of Afterparty, same guys who did Oxenfree and I think I prefer this to Oxenfree. The story isn't as good as Oxenfree, but the humour level clicks with me more and there's not too much backtracking as Oxenfree.

Worth a try, think I'm going to play through it twice to get all achievements on Xbox too

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night (PS4). Crashed a little over an hour in when I tried to access a bookcase. Sometimes text is missing in textboxes. There are stutters here and there which make me think the game is going to lock up. When I died once the death animation didn't play and I still had control of Miriam before the game over text popped up.

Buggyness aside though I am enjoying it. Disappointed I couldn't pick Hard difficulty from the start - the middle difficulty - but the first boss is a decent challenge and I have had to be careful not to die between save rooms. The presentation and aesthetic is really nice. This is what a modern Castlevania game should be like.

I want to get to this in the New Year, I loved Oxenfree and this looks just as interesting to me.

Currently going through a replay of Hotline Miami on Switch, seems that version has pretty crappy bugs

Had 2 instances in different chapters where an enemy teleported from inside the level to the outside where you cannot get to them. This means having to restart entire chapters again which is annoying. Other than that though I am enjoying going through this again, currently up to chapter 9.

Shenmue 1 on Xbox One, it's been ages since my last playtjrough (I played lot of Shenmue back in day, think I've finished it about five times.... In row...)

It's bit rough and can be annoying when you're told to wait until next day or specific time but I still love it. Good Christmas game of sorts too, since it's in December

Gone back to Sains Row on the Switch as it's recently been patched, the preformance seems better but not by much.
