I’m playing this on Xbox. Can someone please tell me what I’m missing, because it controls like complete gooseberry fool! It’s like I’m genuinely playing with a really inaccurate mouse. I’ve never had this problem in other console shooters, mind.

I’ve turned aim smoothing off, tried the look sensitivity both low and high, yet it feels like I can’t keep up with the movement speed. I’ve had to turn it down to easy yet I’m still having problems :fp:

Was this just designed with a KB+M in mind and a controller was an afterthought? It certainly feels like it. It’s really frustrating to because I can tell it would be great with a KB+M!

Did anyone else have this issue? If so, how did you overcome it other than ‘git gud’?

Nevermind - seems like its one of those games where you just need time to get used to the controls. Especially when you’ve only played fast-paced FPS games on the PC before.

It’s clicked, and now it’s great fun! Ammo is quite scarce for this type of game though.

Still on easy, mind you!

The only problem now is that I'm not finding much fuel for that either!

Dead Rising 3, the resolution is poor, it upscales to my 4K tv rather well but my god it’s so damn fun... there’s a billion things to do and the pick up able weapons everywhere is addictive. Best of the DR games for me by a long way.

Sniper Elite 3

Got it for a fiver in a recent sale. On mission 4, so around half way thru it. Its good fun, just making my way through the missions not worrying to much about the best way. Will go back and do them more professionally later on. A lot like Hitman in that regard I suppose. Also, just had perhaps my finest gaming moment of the year - performing a testicle shot :toot: Slightly disappointed I didn't get an achievement for it.

Spiritfarer (Xbox 1X)

Really enjoying this so far (i guess i'm about 10h in). Its very relaxing to play (although i do keep getting anxious that i'm not going to know how to progress the story at some point), but its a very lovely game with a serious but never somber story. It's not the sort of game i would normally pick up, but thanks to Game Pass it looks like one of my surprise finds of the year. Some really great, funny writing in there as well (although mostly around characters that never get developed more fully). Platforming is dead simple, so no need to be put off if you are easily frustrated by challenges around jumping etc.

Had some time off work so got thrugh some gaming over the last couple of weeks:

Not Tonight Enjoyable but not a patch on Papers Please.

Subnautica Its aiight, did just enough to keep me interested for a while but eventually got bored of it.

Yakuza Kiwami Meh, this kind of game just isnt for me, never been a fan of brawlers, open world or otherwise.

Links Awakening Remaster Havent played this since the release of DX version on the Game Boy Colour. Loved every second of it, flew through it in a couple of days, couldnt put it down.

Mario Party The original on the N64, my daughter loves it and Im not gonna complain about getting a nostaligia hit.

Just installed Battletoads as Ive heard good things, will give it a whirl during the week.

Played first hour or so, it's lovely isn't it?

I love that you can hug people. I do hope it gets a little more complex, only been to 4 islands (including first and shark dude).

Got back into Metro Exodus after buying it with DLC for very cheap last week. I had gone through most of it when it was Gamepass but I'm afraid I might have to drop it for a while due to having to go to an underground bunker full of spiders that can't be killed and only get scared when you hold lighter up, if you reload a gun or open a door they jump on you. :dread:

Will be interested in how long it takes to complete, I'm interested in the game but the price is very off-putting (not so much a problem with game pass!).

It certainly gets more complex in respect of the number of materials you have to track etc. There are also some light metroidvania aspects to it where you cannot reach certain area until you have acquired new skills (which you in turn obtain from recruiting more people on to your ship). But it's all very chill and low effort. But never so low that it feels like you are not making any impact on the progression of the game. Its like Animal Crossing but with a purpose, story and sense of progression. Also the Animals die.

I have heard its about 25 hours long. I don't think the price should be off putting to someone who enjoys this type of game, the production values are really high and its a very unique experience. I read that the Switch version is 30 fps and feels a bit jarring to play after switching from PS4 or Xbox One.

I beat the main campaign in Ghost of Tsushima last night now I need to have a bit of a sweep up to get the platinum.

I think I have most of the tricksy trophies already and most of what I have left is completion related and a set of unmarked collectibles.

Had a quick bash at Don't Starve yesterday, its unbelievably difficult.

The longest I've survived so far is three days, after which my character went insane with fear and got killed by a figment of his imagination.

Played an awful lot of this on Vita, had characters that survived for quite a few days but progression always seemed really slow. I think sleeping is key and working out how to make a shelter isn't made obvious at all.

Completed Doom Eternal the other day, really enjoyable just as good as the original, I'm going back to get all the collectables, but like the original I'm not keen on the multiplayer.

My runs always ended with me desperately burning all of the trees in an attempt to make light and get a bit less crazy before inevitably dying

It's tough

Children of Morta - Switch Lite - such a brilliant game. So easy to play and the difference between characters makes it feel fresh each time. Loads of upgrades to unlock too.

Wish my image sig would work

Started Spiritfarer tonight and have been completely sucked in. Four hours disappeared in a flash.
