Started De Blob 2 again on the 360, and it's so strawberry floating shoddy. Camera is wank, the mechanics are weird. I'll finish it, because I've started it and I need to get through as much of this XBox 360 backlog as I can, but strawberry floating hell it isn't great.

Played a bit of Arkham Knight this morning and was just doing the DLC stuff to get back into the swing of it. The Batgirl DLC was a fun enough way to spend an hour. It's baffling how much they got wrong about the Batmobile though. I had a quick go on some of the movie themed races and it's just so slidy and bouncy. It should feel heavy and gripped to the road but when you crash into anything or go over a ramp, the whole thing flips and spins out of control. It's really frustrating to drive. Also infuriating that the different cars are essentially unusable in the campaign because only the default car has usable weaponry.

Oh, I recently played through the season pass stuff as well. Tried one of those races and instantly hated it. The handling is complete ass.

The season pass was worth the 3-4 quid I bought it for. I would have been pissed if I had paid for it full price though. Season of Infamy is not bad.

I'm looking forward to Season of Infamy as I think that released after the first time I played it. I like that it integrates into the main game.

Currently playing Nioh 2 - but not enjoying it as the new DLC difficulty level is close to unplayable.

Gone back to Fate Extella Link on Switch Lite. Great little mosou game, very colourful and all the character are very different.

Wish my image sig would work

Half-Life
I've been plugging away at this, and while it's okay, I think that as with a lot of games it's a case of being great at the time, but nothing special years later. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just fairly standard. I was getting a bit bored and thinking "okay, I must be nearing the end now" and when I looked at a guide to see how far I was (and then howlongtobeat.com) it seems I'm about half way through  :fp:

Arkham Knight's AR challenges are really calming me down at the minute. Too stressed and anxious to focus on any story at the minute and just punching people to rack up points is really cathartic.

I still think Half-Life holds up well and enjoyed my recent replay of it more than I have a lot of more recent shooters. But it is hard to know how much of that is nostalgia talking!

Playing some PSO 2 with daughter. She's hooked already and is like level 35 while im only level 10 on my first loadout. It retains the Sega charm and lushness though. It's like a simpler Monster Hunter World. It's mindless but gorgeous fun. Fair warning though, the menu UI is a minefield of stuff and takes ages to get used to.

Played quite a lot at the weekend. I put in a little grind in Final Fantasy III on Friday but still nowhere near ready to fight the Iron Giant super boss, streamed a bunch of Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin, killed Flexile Sentry, clothed the pyromancer lady then wrapped things up with offing the Ruin Sentinels before rounding my weekend out with beating the first act of Ghost Tsushima.

Weird game, this. I'm a couple of hours in and feel like I've been watching it more than playing. When I finally to get to play it, I'm constantly being interrupted with a narrator telling me how to play the game, or little pointers popping up, or other characters talking to me. Just let me get on with it FFS.

The constant change in art styles is a bit jarring as well, with different visuals for gameplay, the anime-style cut scenes, and the in-engine cut scenes.

First impression is that it's a vaguely interesting puzzle idea, massively padded out with overly-long cut scenes and hub areas with little content.

Glass Masquerade 2
Loved the first game, and I'm enjoying this one too. It gives no explanation as to what keys are, what shards are, or why/how you're collecting them, but it doesn't seem to matter as the core gameplay is the same, which is good, and the music's still good.

I'm really struggling to get into anything at the moment

Resident Evil 7
I like a lot about this game but it feels so sloppy after playing Resident Evil 2. Yet another section of having to hide from an NPC that I can't do any damage to and in an area that requires a specific weapon to kill the enemies. I have run out of ammo and progression is now blocked because I can't kill them when they're next to a crank. Also said enemies respawning. It looks great and the Resident Evil stuff is cool but some of this is really not good.

Dead Cells
I love playing this game but I just don't think rogue likes are for me. A few hours in and don't feel like I'm making any progress what do ever. I might be done with this one.

Halo 3: ODST
So good. I don't remember any of the detail of this game and so far there hasn't been a duff moment. I said this was overrated in another thread and I was wrong.

If you’re at Marguerite you can kill her at the crank point if you have enough ammo. That is easily the most frustrating part of the game.

Man of Medan

I hope there’s a special place in hell for the person who invented surprise QTEs in the middle of cutscenes when following the story is 90% of the game.

I'm enjoying LEGO The Incredibles greatly, but I can't help but feel this'll be one of the shortest LEGO games ever to hit 100% on. I'm three and a half hours into it and already reading 20% complete. I've got most of the way through the second film, with just two levels left of it, then it's onto the first film, which I'm sure will be a great experience to play through.

I'm on the Spooky Trails world in Mario and Rabbids. Some of the enemy types are getting annoying!

On my second playthrough of Resident Evil 7, mopping up the achievements for not using the item box/health items and finishing in under four hours. These are pretty standard Resi achievements but they're a bit more frustrating when the loading times are so long when you die in this.
