One day I really need to play Titanfall 2. I only ever hear outstanding things about it. I've added it to my list of games to play on PS5.

Picked up a cheap copy of Sonic Racing Transformed on the 3DS and it's pretty much a 1 to 1 port of the Wii U with worse graphics. Really enjoying it, the racing is a blast and the tracks are very well desgined and represents so many Sega franchises. The frame rate is pretty awful on the 3DS and some tracks go on a little bit too long.

Really hope we get a proper sequel one day, with some Yakuza representation.

I loved Sonic Racing Transformed. It's a brilliant game. So much love put into it.

Still making my way through the Fractured But Whole. I still think this is a weaker sequel, but it's fun enough despite that. I just did the warehouse bit with Toolshed, which was a bit long winded.

I'm sure I have it through PS+ already.

The campaign is not long. Probably 5 hours tops. It's worth it.

Sweet, might give it a play after Demon's Souls then.

Picked up a cheap copy of The Surge 2 and finally played it last night, and I'm incredibly impressed by it. I enjoyed the original and it was a decent game, but this one is a huge improvement, the games quite brutal with chopping off limbs but it's a very fun and a great Souls clone.

Currently playing through Super Mario World for the first time (I know!) in little spurts between busy periods of work during the day. I’m working my notice so I don’t feel too guilty about it. It’s a wonderful game but for some reason it doesn’t quite feel as good as the NES games for me. Planning to do a bare-minimum run before moving onto something else.

Yakuza Kiwami

I'm up to the strawberry floating car chase section, and it's doing my head in. Takes ages, you have to redo the whole thing if you fail, and it's always the last bit with the guy in the truck who tries to ram you, I just can't get him killed, and when he hits me it's like an instant fail. :x

Supposedly this means I'm quite near the end, which I'm surprised by, as I thought there'd have been more Majima stuff by now. I'm barely a few nodes up on the Dragon of Dojima combat style, and some of those are the weapons training guy in the park. Feels like I haven't seen him while free roaming for hours.

EDIT: Oh strawberry floating hell, I just went back to it, and the last auto save was before the whole triad headquarters section, which must have been about 20 minutes of constant combat, including a long boss fight. I just assumed it auto saved at the checkpoint it was previously letting me resume from. :fp:

Just finished (the main story anyway) of Ghost of Tsushima.

Bit shorter than I was expecting but kind of glad the story is not bad, gameplay I found very repetitive after a while, graphically some of it is amazing.

But a lot of the world feels like filler & just didn’t feel like it needed to be open world.

Probably won’t play it again

To The Moon - Nintendo Switch

Been playing this the last couple of evenings, it’s alright, I’m quite liking the story but the gameplay is pretty janky. Movement feels cumbersome at times and it’s not down to joycon drift. I’ve heard it’s short so I’ll finish it up hopefully tomorrow but I’m not seeing why this was a highly regarded game.

Felt the same way about it. The gameplay is nothing to write home about. I didn't see why it was highly rated.

I've not played it but I'm pretty sure its the story that gets the praise, not the gameplay (it's an rpgmaker game isn't it?)

Yeah, the gameplay (if you can call it that) is a nothingness but I couldn't recommend the game more because of the story alone. There's no twist or any big revelation but the final moments are magical and really heartwarming. I still think about it to this day.

The story has been interesting but I think I got this for £7.99 in an eshop sale and I don’t think it’s worth that. I can’t be too far off the end now tho so I will see it through

Completed a couple of games over the weekend, Hellblade and What Remains of Edith Finch. Both really good in their own way, next up will be Outer Wilds, again through Game Pass.

Still been plugging away at Pokémon Shield and Animal Crossing of course. Feel like I’m going through a phase where I’m just loving playing games at the moment which feels really nice.
