Takes ages, you have to redo the whole thing if you fail, and it's always the last bit with the guy in the truck who tries to ram you, I just can't get him killed, and when he hits me it's like an instant fail.
Supposedly this means I'm quite near the end, which I'm surprised by, as I thought there'd have been more Majima stuff by now. I'm barely a few nodes up on the Dragon of Dojima combat style, and some of those are the weapons training guy in the park. Feels like I haven't seen him while free roaming for hours.
I think at some point Majima is gated until you do more Colosseum and training.
I found him after a bit of searching online.
He was hiding under a big traffic cone on the main road in the middle South of the map. Supposedly he'd been there since chapter 4 or so, and I've only found him now around chapter 10 or 11. Supposedly there's a bit of dialogue in a previous encounter about how he'll be hiding, but it must be months since I actually heard that, so had forgotten it, and there's no map markers for it, while the email from one of his goons is all about requesting a girl at Shine, but every time I go, it's only Rina there. It's resulted in a lot of the game being almost totally Majima free, which for a system called Majima Everywhere, is a bit disappointing.
Literally had the exact same thing happen just a few weeks ago when I went back to Kiwami. I was ultimately glad, though. The game really drags on in parts, so I was happy to speed though it to get on to the good games.
Given that I spent most of 0 avoiding the Mr Shakedown fights, because I just couldn't be arsed, I suspect I'd have eventually felt the same about this. Its just frustrating that I'm about to enter the finale, with one combat style still stuck with so few upgrades it's basically pointless to use. Ah well, I'll see if I ever get round to it in premium adventure, I guess.
It’s not such a big deal when it was just a “bonus” style, I think. But you should just move on to Kiwami 2 when you’re done because it is such a gigantic, multi-generational leap in every regard (except frame rate if you’re on console).
Yeah, my plan is to go to Kiwami 2 when I'm done with the main story, then go back to clear up side stories I've missed and mini games in premium adventure across 0, Kiwami, and Kiwami 2, while I wait for 3 to get a PC release, or Like a Dragon to go on sale. I expect both to take a while.
I'd read elsewhere that K2 felt like a step back compared to K1 as it was less of a remake than K1 was, and more just a visual upgrade, without the systems and combat changes of the earlier ones.
