This is brilliant. It's so colourful and over the top. Perfect little levels too which makes the game perfect for handheld.

Nice to see that that you're looking to stack, raid and get paid, Godzilla! I've only played a wee bit but the colour and craziness definitely is wild :-) .

I’ve got a 7 day trial of PS Now so thought I’d give it a blast. I tried it once years ago but my internet connection just couldn’t handle it. My landlord upgraded the internet a few months back so I thought I’d try it again.

I tried a couple of games and they both ran perfectly, in particular Street Fighter IV a game when any kind of lag can be game breaking ran really smoothly.

Currently playing Arkedo Series : Jump

This game needs to go “jump” on a bonfire. Was going fine up until this bonus challenge level. I’ve been at it since 11pm.

It’s these strawberry floating bats. The annoying little flappy things seem to fly wherever they want within their area. Just strawberry float off, sit still & make your damn mind up where you are flying, as I’m sure every time I’ve died tonight, you slightly alter your flying position.

You pack of little runts.

One last time then I’m off to bed. This game can go strawberry float itself.

Picked up a few 3DS games on the cheap online,so I've been playing.

Chibi Robo Zip Lash
A rather basic platformer that has it's moments, but what is it with all these snacks appearing in the game, I burst out laughing when I found a pack of Mentos.

Picross 3D 2
Really fun puzzler that does get quite challenging later on.

James Noir Hollywood Crimes
A Ubisoft take on the Professor Layton formula and it does actually work quite well, those FMV's are hilariously bad.

As the kids kept moaning about me taking the switch to work I bought a 2nd hand Vita and have been playing Final Fantasy X on cross-save with the PS3. It's been nearly 20 years since I last played it and I'm amazed how well it holds up compared to more modern RPGs like Xenoblade. I do keep hearing Jake the Dog putting on a silly voice whenever Wakka opens his mouth though.

Two point hospital. I’m reliving my childhood. I’m really not sure if it’s a remake, reboot or sequel but I loved Theme Hospital and I’m loving this! Fairly standard sim stuff so far but it’s starting to ramp up in complexity now as I’ve unlocked the 4th location.

I’ve been so tempted to pick that up on Switch, many an evening spent playing Theme Hospital when I was younger, held off ordering it despite the good reviews it’s gotten on console.

Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit isn't part of the Arkedo series but it's by the same devs, great game :)

If it’s the one I think you’re playing, then the remastered graphics, the re-recorded soundtrack and the redesigned menus definitely help to make you feel that way!
It’s not a straight up remake but it’s an excellent example of how remasters should be done, that a lot of them that were released this gen should learn from.

Cross save is brilliant too. It's such a shame Sony didn't make Vita ports of PS3 titles more mandatory. Gran Turismo 5 would have been amazing.

Playing Resident Evil 2 yet again, in prep for RE3  It's only a year old but I feel like I can safely say I'll consider it one of my favourite games ever for a long while. I'd say it's better than RE4.

:dread: I can't think of anything worse to do with my time.

They have various other things that they do really quite well but the shooting gameplay in the Uncharted games is pure dog gooseberry fool.

I've done Uncharted on Crushing but not sure I could face Uncharted 2, the bullet sponge enemies were bad enough on Normal.

Depends on the gun - shotguns and the heavy pistols have much more weight and a better feel to them I think. It's the rifles that mostly feel plinky.

Oh some guns are definitely better than others and that helps, but even on Normal difficulty and using the best guns the respawning bullet sponge enemies, fiddly cover mechanics and constant need to scour the environment for weapon/ammo pickups just sucks all the enjoyment out of the experience.

I finally started appreciating the good things in the series when I just turned the difficulty down so I could basically ignore the "action" aspects!

I was basically going to post exactly what FatDaz said. It really takes me back a couple of decades but smooths over a lot of the slightly chugging nature of the original. But it is a very very faithful homage.
