Katamari Damacy Reroll

Quite possibly the weirdest game I've played so far. I never got to play the original, and I really wanted to, but when I saw it in the eshop I had to have it. Why the king of Cosmos sounds like Parapa the rapper I'll never know.

Ludo is gooseberry fool!

Yup. Just utterly shite. Shelved that game, hated it.

Played Golf with friends, with friends tonight and it’s incredible fun. If you and your mates have Gamepass its a must play.

Never played Spirit Tracks, mainly because i hated it's predecessor, Phantom Hourglass.

Phantom Hourglass is a masterpiece in comparison.

I quite liked Phantom Hourglass, but the decision to make you return to - and play through - the same dungeon over and over and over again is what killed the game for me. Couldn't bear the tedium, so gave up on it. Was enjoying it otherwise.

I didn't mind having to return to the 'main' dungeon as every time you did you progressed further in using whatever weapon or ability you'd last acquired, wasn't really any different to a metroidvania type game.

I enjoyed it more than I did OoT.

That right there is why i hated the game, it was made even worse by the imposition of a time limit.

I have decided to start it afresh and I am really enjoying it more this time now. I have reached the next village (Niaowu) which I am further than where I was before. I think I was distracted with other games during that period like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Luigi's Mansion 3 and Pokémon Shield, so now I can focus on this alone.

It is a slow pace game, but it helps me relaxing and enjoying while I am playing.

Shenmue.

I finished it last night and it was a great game. I enjoyed it and loved it.

Pokemon Shield - Nintendo Switch

Loving this right now, i'm 2 gyms down and building my team of 'mon. I think the game looks fantastic, the different towns all have their own unique look and feel to them and I love the stadium aspect of facing the gym leaders, feels like a big event compared to previous games I played.

I also love how you now have to complete missions as well as fight trainers to reach the gym leader. great idea and mixes things up.

I don't really understand the hate this got really, seems a great game to me.

Pretty much how I feel about it! Lots of people like the game, the haters are just vocal about it

I really do think people expected more, some BotW type expansion of the series, and became annoyed when that wasn't shown. Could it have been better? Sure. Could there have been more within it? Definitely. But it still worked as a complete product, even with a few cut extras. The evolution of the series will come - and is already happening with the DLC providing new locations completely built with the new world traversal mechanics in mind.

Anyway, this is Currently Playing... so... 51 Worldwide Games is a great collection. Mancala is becoming a favourite of mine, and I'm determined to beat the AI on Ludo. Also returned to Forza Horizon 4, so sorry to anyone who had thought they could beat the Drift Mini, but I'm getting myself back on top. (But not today as I'll be starting on Wreckfest).

Spider-Man (PS4/PSNow.)

I had 25% completion on it but it's been so long since I played it that I felt lost on the controls. So I restarted it. It leaves PS Now in about 30 days and so maybe that'll be motivation enough for me to actually finish it this time. I just hope it does a better job of hooking me in 2nd time around.

gooseberry fool, does it? I'll have to get a move on, I started a 2nd playthrough a few weeks ago when PSNow was on sale.

Knew I shouldn't have give my copy to my nephew...

Final Fantasy IX (PC port with Moguri mod)

Started what would have been disc 3 on the original version and the difficulty has spiked a little as I was finding it quite easy before heading out to Oeilvert and some of the random battles are taking a toll on my supplies of healing items.

Think it might have been a mistake bringing Quina and Garnet to an area that blocks magic but the players guide I'm using (spoiler free, just occasionally check it to see if there's missable stuff) advised taking them rather than Freya (best character imo) and Amarant.

This may well end up being the first FF game I actually finish (might have finished the DS port of III but don't remember the ending at all).

Edit: Just seen gameplay footage of the FF7 remake :dread: didn't realize they'd made the combat realtime. I was never really in to the original but I really don't like what has happened to the series since X, JRPGs to me should always be turn based otherwise you might as well be playing something like Assassins Creed 28 or GTA clone 734.

I don't actually miss being able to play 3rd person action games anymore, they're all so formulaic these days but I guess as long as people keep forking out £60+ for them they're here for good.

Old gamer rant over.

3 gyms down and just reached Hammerlocke, current team

Pikachu
Hitmonchan
Corvisquire
Cinderace
Rillaboom
Inteleon

Dropped Galarian Ponyta from my team as she wasn’t really proving all that useful and levelled really slowly. Hammerlocke looks really cool so will explore that next

Going through 12 at Mo but I have bought IX. Been thinking about jumping over as 12 (as great as it is) has stalled and I have to do errands/jobs for people to level up my characters and for each one it’s about 6 (brief) loading screens but it’s a Lot of faffing about.

Double checked. On the Spider-Man PS Now page it says it's leaving in 30 days. On the info section of the downloaded game tile, it says 13 days for time remaining! But it says the same for Metro Exodus and that's only just come out :slol: And my PS Now sub is only about 2 months into a 12 month sub. So yeah... I've probably just muddied the waters for myself :slol: I'll try and remember to check again tomorrow to see if the counter has ticked down on Spidey's PS Now page.
