Started Arkham Knight this weekend. Really enjoying it so far but I see what people mean about it being tank heavy

Having just completed God of War (2018) for the second time, I started replaying God of War 3. It’s like a totally different genre! I loved this when it first came out and whilst it’s still great fun it feels so dated in so many ways compared to the latest game, and the writing feels very stunted and less mature. Still fun whirling the blades of chaos though!

Still rate God of War (2018) as one of my favourite games of all time.

Had quite a productive session on Dark Souls last night offing Four Kings, Demon Firesage and the Stray Demon. The Four Kings fight was a total fluke, so glad that fight is out of the way.

I'm a fair bit into Yakuza 0 - my first foray into the series.

The story is starting to get quite gripping now, with Kiryu about to take the fall to protect Kazama, though I do find myself itching to poke my head in and around Kamurocho. I like how different the town feels between day and night in this game also.

Tried a bit of Attack on Titain 2 for Switch yesterday and it's quite a lot of fun chopping up giant naked people, I haven't seen the Anime so I literally have no clue what is going but it is really enjoyable.

Also been playing a bit of Fire Emblem Warriors on 3DS as I recently picked it up cheap from Argos, and it's actually a really faifthful port of the Switch versions just with lesser graphics. Surprisingly the game is fully voice acted and all the cutscenes are here, just no multiplayer.

I've been playing a lot of Assassin's Creed Odyssey and it's great except for the ship combat which can strawberry float the strawberry float off.

I've got to the point where I just ditch the ship and swim to whatever ship I'm supposed to be battling and just climbing aboard and taking the whole crew on myself as it's less frustrating than doing it the proper way.

Overall I'd give the main game a 9.5/10 but the ship combat gets a -6/10 and needs to be scrubbed from the annals of history as one of gamings greatest crimes.

I've completed Uncharted 2 Among Theives Remastered and it's brilliant. I've also collected all treasures and a relic.

Now I'm not sure if I can do the legit Crushing Difficulty. :shifty:

If it's too hard, I'll leave and do it other time. Uncharted 3 Drake's Deception next. :)

Gave up on playing Flow for now, it’s just getting on my nerves.

Now gone back to & trying to finish Aqua Panic aka Downstream Panic.

Its lemmings but with fish (guide them from the beginning of the level via whatever tools you have to get to the goal).

Not a lot for me to grumble about as I’ve actually enjoyed it :o.
The music is strawberry floating annoying & it outstays it’s welcome with a total of 80 levels (currently level 63), something like 50 would of been more than enough.

Very slowly slogging through Jet Force Gemini. It's a very good game, but the controls are absolutely archaic and it was a tough adjustment to get into the game. Almost on the final Mizar battle though, and that will be one more game chalked off the Rare Replay list. Only Snake Rattle and Roll, Conker's Bad Fur Day and Battletoads to finish after that.

Off topic: Jet Force Gemini is one of those games I played because a magazine told me it was a lot of fun, and because I liked the dev. Then, very, very many hours into it, after I was sick to death of missing a platform jump (partly because of my cackhandedness and partly because the camera sucked and so a level of guessing was required) I thought Why the strawberry float am I playing this?! and moved on to something else. (Knowing some of my N64 picks, it was probably Nagano Winter Olympics.)

On topic: I might start on the Majima chapters of Yakuza Kiwami 2. Maybe...

I really didn't get on with Jet Force Gemini. I wanted to like it for the same reasons as SoK (people/mags said it was good, I liked most other Rare games etc.) but it was just pants.

Yeah this was my takeaway from it. And that was AFTER the patch for the controls. It just wasn't fun for me.

Blast Corps was ace though, i totally get all the love for it now.

Blast Corps is a classic. That was one of the games I picked up when I first got the N64 and it will always have a special place in my ranking for the system.

+1 for not really rating Jet Force Gemini. I wanted to like it since I had magazines telling me I should but I just wasn't enjoying it and gave up.

I hated it at first, but have grown to enjoy it a lot more than I did the first time I tried it last year. I'll be glad when it's done and I can move on, but the last three or four things I need to do in the collection are horrifically tough. :dread:

Always saddened me we never got anything else like it. And in a post 9/11 world where people use vehicles as weapons, I doubt we ever will now. ****ing terrorists ruining it for the rest of us.

I first played this game when I got Rare Replay. I really enjoyed it, It's a little rough around the edges now, I would love to see it brought back and expanded on.
