I’m really enjoying this so far but the scale of it all is a little intimidating, I keep finding new things to explore so I can see this lasting a good while.

It's just an incredibly well thought-out game full of little hidden treasures. So good.

Playing through Titanfall 2's campaign again. Just did the level where it's like a factory prefabricating stuff. Loved it.

I wrote:Fights in Tight Spaces

Deck building rogue-lite with turn based combat and a minimalist 'silhoetted' graphical style.

Very reminiscent of the close quarters fight scenes featured in the Netflix Daredevil series, the fights can get quite brutal despite the slow nature of the game.

Just had a random encounter with several ninjas while extremely low on health, things got ugly/

Edit: the soundtrack is pretty good too.

Think this is a contender for my game of the year, feels so much more involved than most card based games, mainly because you're tactically deciding where the character goes rather than just watching the outcome of the cards you play.

The difficulty level is spot on too, you can be totally dominating the enemies one minute only to make a wrong decision the next and find yourself cornered with 1hp and it never feels like the game is unfair.

Its still in early access but seems a lot more polished than a lot of 'finished' games.

Whereas I've been playing Cat Quest.

It's pretty simplistic, has many awful cat puns, and it's pretty generic. But it's quite fun, and helped a 3 hour train journey whizz by.

I actually only started it thinking I should delete a few old games from my Switch menu that were clearly late night purchases I'd never bothered to play. I probably picked it up for a quid or two and it's already been worth that for the train journey alone. I'm not saying it's great or anything, by the way. It's OK, so far.

But even basic games are amazing value, really was my point. It was less than the overpriced train sandwich, lasted longer and was much more enjoyable.

I'm going to talk to myself about Cat Quest.

It helped me smash the return train journey for one thing. It's quite basic, a lot of the quests are quite repetitive, but it's really well done despite that. It's alright

I often feel the same when I post about fairly obscure indie games.

Over the past three or four months I've been playing Fallout 76 on PS4... and very little else. Still hugely enjoying it and recently I've branched out to building in the grimy Ash Heap area.

I have also got into dabbling with Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Mega Mix on Switch. Yeah, it's rhythm action and I really dig the vocaloid tracks. I am *terrible* at the game but I can sometimes scrape by on the easy level. I find that I have to concentrate on one track for a few play sessions rather than hopping about between them. It has been good fun.

Hi Jawa!

I plugged in the Wii U today for the first time in 2 years or so and started Twilight Princess HD. I’m enjoying it so far, and I still think the Wii U gamepad is more ergonomic than the Switch :shifty:

Also, the Wii U has loads of cut price Switch ports available for it. I’m thinking of picking up a few more games now it’s all plugged in and the gamepad still seems to hold a good charge.

Hey there, kaz! Yeah, it's worth looking round for some of the bigger U titles if you like using the Gamepad (it is chunky but very comfy!). The collector market is picking up for the U so now may be a decent time to get a few games that you're after!

Since my first post I have ordered Captain Toad from Music Magpie for £7.89 delivered. Will make a nice Christmas game.

Great pick-up - it runs well on the U.

Monster Hunter Stories 2 Demo - as this save carries over I'm free to invest a lot of time and get into the game before release. It looks lovely, very relaxing to play too. Combat is well done and that armour sets are just one piece and look fantastic. I'm currently wearing a purple suit with a top hat. The game is basically Pokémon on the Switch... but better.

Spider-Man - Miles Morales - I couldn't get into this at launch buy now I'm approach the final battle. The story is as good as the first and the voice acting and animation is movie quality. Will probably jump straight into new game plus as soon as I finish it.

Wish my image sig would work

Haha!

It's not really a GRcade kind of game anyway. Quite simple, repetitive, an RPG lite really for people who don't know the genre. But quite fun all the same.

Often, I write on here just to get my own head straight as to what I think of a game.

I played another couple of hours of Breath of the Wild. I’ve made it to Kakariko Village, found enough shrines for a couple of upgrades, cleared a couple of little side quests and managed to get in way out of my depth a couple of times.

It's such a vast game isn't it Cumber?! I need to go back and finish it at some point, I'm a bit scared though, haven't booted it up in about a 18 months and worried I won't have a clue where I am or what's going on! I've toyed with the idea of restarting my save, but as you said earlier, it feels quite intimidating to do so!

Control. (2nd time playing it.)

Breezing through it. Made it over to the panopticon.
