I believe Jenuall has recently played Frozen Wilds and he thought it better than the base game. But what does he know?

Metro Exodus Enhanced. Its a good game, but i think it is also the best looking thing i've ever played. A nice mix of stealth and FPS, with a little exploration. A good change in environments to previous games.

Made some decent progress in Ninja Gaiden Sigma tonight. I polished off chapters 14 and 15 and I think I’m approaching the end of chapter 16.

Felt in the mood for a bit of dystopia so I've jumped back into Deus Ex: Human Revolution. (PC)

I've been playing a bit of Narita Boy on Gamepass. I really like the aesthetic (it's really arresting) and the ideas behind it, plus the inventive dialogue.

But I'm feeling in ruthless mood at the minute re clearing backlogs, and saving space. There have already been too many areas where it just isn't clear where to go next or what to do, meaning going around in circles or checking a walkthrough.

Glad to have experienced at least a bit of it, but already pretty sure I'm not going to stick with it much longer.

Had quite a productive day today, I have just one moon left in Mario Odyssey and I’m very near the end of Ninja Gaiden Sigma. I’m hoping to have Sigma wrapped up in one more stream.

So a combination of factors lead me to buying Ogres Must Die 3, first off Peter in here was singing the praises of it's predeccessors and secondly, a streamer I watch was playing it so watched for 30mins or so. I had no idea it was a co-op tower defence game and it's X|S enhanced. Played it with my Daughter and although hard enough, it was a blast. Looking forward to more.

Is Ogres Must Die 3 from the same studio that made Orcs Must Die 1 & 2?

According to Wiki, yep, Robot Entertainment. Oddly, Ogres Must Die 1 (X360) is on the Xbox Store for BC but no sign of 2.

I played Orcs Must Die 2 a decent bit on PC but I never knew the same studio did this other series. Is the gameplay the same?

Think i'm nearing the end of the base game of Cadence of Hyrule as the difficulty has ramped up a bit. Its been good so far. I have it on physical so will give some of the DLC a spin at some point.

This did not grab me. Played it for a few hours, had difficultly navigating in it.

I played the demo of Narita Boy and I lost interest very quickly. I liked the aesthetic, but nothing else about it. Was an easy delete-and-not-think-about-again.

DiRT 4
Still going with this, and the seemingly endless number of events. Might take another break though :slol:

OlliOlli
Not bad this. It's good for a quick 15-20 mins here and there. Landing tricks is a bit odd, and the tricks themselves sometimes feel like more luck than judgement, but the short levels and numerous objectives per stage mean it's quick and easy to go back and try for something else or just move on.

Star Ocean: The Last Hope
Having fun with this still, mainly in the sense of exploring and pushing the plot along. Combat is still okay, but the characters are really beginning to grate, especially Lymle and Meracle. Overly long cut scenes that feature both of them heavily don't help either - just let me play the damn game.

I watched a couple of reviews and the only criticism of it was that the gameplay was the exact same, as I never played any of them, that didn't bother me. They have new WAR missions which are larger in scale but once they make it in to the castle the normal gameplay loop remains.

So what is the actual difference between the Orcs Must Die games and these Ogres Must Die games? Do they literally just swap the Orc models with Ogres? I’m pretty sure Orcs Must Die has ogres already in it.

Reading reviews, this seems to be quite a common experience as you and Lotus have both found as well.

It's a shame, as I'm guessing a lot of love was poured into it and I really wanted to like it, but for me it was too frustrating to stick with and some of the next steps were too unclear for it to be enjoyable.

Oh well, there's a whole world of other things to dive into!

Exactly the same story for me. I kept getting lost and the jump felt horrible. Shame as i liked the style of it.

Dabbled in a few games on the Switch this evening

Reigns: Kings and Queens
This seems pretty interesting, like one of those old choose your own adventure books but more fleshed out. You get asked a question and you press left or right to give your answer but that seems to roll on and evolve how your story progresses. I like it, will give it some more time soon.

Among Us
Not played this in ages but I like the updates they have added to the chat functions. Using the convo wheel is a lot better than typing up a message. It still seems to be a bit slow as people seem to just vote straight away and not really talk things through, guess it depends on the group you get.

LoZ Skyward Sword
15 hours into this and I have just reached the water dragon section and found the temple where the sacred water is kept. Really enjoying this, great playing a classic Zelda although I do really want to get into Breath of the Wild again  saving that replay for when the OLED Switch comes though.

I beat the last couple of Ninja Gaiden Sigma bosses on stream again last night but wasn’t sure what my next stream game would be. I’ve gone with Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise and it’s a lot of fun. You have the manliest of anime meeting the manliest games series and it’s just perfect, FotNS and Yakuza are such a good match for each other.
