Disco Elysium - Finally getting around to this on PS5. Aside from seeing the high review scores and GotY mentions/awards, I knew very little going in. It's quite unlike anything I've played before. The point and click style gameplay feels familiar, but it's the dialogue and writing that really makes it stand out. I'm approaching the end of the first day and am fascinated to see how it develops, with plenty of threads developing. Already there have been some genuinely hilarious moments which are hard to discuss without spoiling it.

Nobody Saves the World - first three dungeons beaten.

There are a good few things I am liking about this game. The core idea behind it is a good one, the world is well depicted, especially when the camera pulls out, and kind of enjoyable to explore. But the combat needs a dodge or block function, the castle's kill XX enemies to progress gates needs to die in a strawberry floating fire and the core idea needs to be utilised in more interesting ways.

Death's Door - NNNNNGH! The bit after you get the 4 keys in the mansion is REALLY testing my patience :x I was ready for a fight and instead the game is all "lol here, die some more before getting to it."

Started Inscryption this morning and just beat the second boss stage.

I like it a lot. I love strategy card games and the weird story is a cool bonus.

The rulebook is gooseberry fool though. Ridiculous that I can't just open a menu of every card ability and instead have to flick through tens of pages to find a specific symbol when I get a new card.

Finished up a linked playthrough of Zelda Oracle of Ages/Seasons there (so the Ganon true ending).

Definitely an underrated pair of games and the magnet gloves are so cool.

But I might well have to say it's the worst sounding Zelda game I've ever played. Some areas just have really grating 8 bit blip bloop.

I'd definitely buy a switch version in the Grezzo Link's Awakening engine, considering they reuse a lot of assets from Link's Awakening DX I'm sure it's possible but eh doubt it will happen.

Realised you can right click symbols to be taken directly to that specific rule in the rulebook.

Anyway, this game just took a surprising turn. Can't wait to keep playing and find out just what is going on!

I picked up Kingdom Come Deliverance in a recent XBOX sale and I’m enjoying it so far but man is it tough. I found myself replaying large sections of the game where things didn’t go quite right… mostly lockpicking, I just can’t get the hang of the lockpicking mini game.

I remember looking at that once or twice in sales, Cumberdanes - but, yeah, I read that it's a tough game.

It’s an RPG set in the real world so no magic powers, dragons and such. There are elements of a survival game too as you need to eat, sleep and even wash regularly. I think you can be permanently injured too but not sure.

Last night I found a book by character isn't smart enough to read.

Mass Effect remake - The voice acting and model movement when Liara and her mum meet :slol: But then, moments later, *everything* is so much better with the rachni queen VA performance.

A couple of seconds worth of some legit cheesy acting. It was great, but not essential viewing.

Just ditched the Trumper on Vermire. Made the call instantly. Glad to be shot of it. Felt sorry that the salarians had to put up with that before they copped it. Sorry my dudes

All the irl lols. The animator really phoned it in with those lacklustre arm movements, but then they kind of match the odd dispassionate delivery of Liara's lines.

The Lock picking is virtually impossible, I still can't believe they haven't patched it....

Since I’ve levelled up lockpicking a little by training with someone I can manage Very Easy and Easy graded locks relatively alright.
