I've played the game something like 5 times and it's the first time I chose to end it like I did.

My reason previously for helping Lee not turn was because everyone in the game world thinks it's the worst thing you can become. Also the fact I liked Lee and didn't want to think of him as a zombie, and I thought more practice for Clem is no bad thing  Well, in this play-through she's the one that killed the station-wagon guy at the Marsh House. So that's the extra practice sorted. And then I weighed up further scarring her by having her shoot Lee versus Lee turning. She's been through so much so quickly (the abduction and feelings of guilt about the whole situation; killing the guy responsible; topped off by then seeing her parents as walkers) that I thought it best to let her walk out of there with the extra ammo. Also, Lee tells her killing people changes you and he didn't want that for her.

One other reason I made the choice I did was because I'd already completed the game with the usual ending yesterday. However, the achievement didn't pop and so I restarted that final section. Curiosity got the better of me re options presented and I decided to see how it would play out. I think I'd go with the same ending again.

About to start Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake. Been meaning to play them for years and finally now I have them on Vita im forcing my way through. I say forcing because although I enjoyed it there is lots of searching around and backtracking. Hoping the second is a bit better in this respect.

PLAY | Persona 3 Reloaded [3h]
WATCH | Ted Lasso S3, HiJack S1, Red Dwarf S4, Dexter S2
RACE | Chew Valley 10k (June), GNR (Sept), Cardiff Half (Oct)

Starlink - PlayStation 5

Not played it since launch when I completed it. Started a new save and it's a fantastic little game. There's a lot to do, constant sense of progression and a nice feel to the combat and world.

Wish my image sig would work

Think i'm just about to start Act 3 of Ghost of Tsushima. I have really enjoyed it, but it's done that annoying thing of not being difficult at all after hitting the half way point (playing on lethal mode). I could unequip some charms etc, but then I don't have the motivation to complete the shrines etc. Great game, but this seems to be a problem with nearly all of Sony's top tier action adventure games.

Also have gone back to Hades again. Still great, still often get to the final boss feeling unbeatable only to get absolutely squashed. I think I have beaten him 3 times so far, so there might be a fair bit left for me to do still.

Also started Tales from the Galaxy's Edge on Quest 2 after picking it up with the DLC for about £13 in the current sale. It's probably one of the most polished things I have played in VR. Playing on hard it creates a really good challenge. Load times can be a bit long, but otherwise it's very impressive. I'm not a particularly big Star Wars fan either, In fact I'm pretty much sick of it.

Decided to finally jump back into the Assassins Creed series after trying to force my way through the second last year. Valhalla is quite nice but I'm fully expecting this to get repetitive.

Guacamelee
I'm having a great time with this - really enjoying it. It's fairly linear, but I don't find that detracts from the experience, and everything I mentioned in my previous post on it still holds true. All of a sudden though I've found myself at the end of the game (I think), so I'm just going back to explore some of the areas again and explore any paths I haven't been through yet. Still got no idea what some of the things I'm collecting do  .

Bloons TD 6
I was in the mood for some tower defence and had this in my Steam library, so thought I'd give it a go. Pretty good, but there's a lot of content here. Loads of levels by the looks of it, three difficulty settings per level, and each level has a minimum of 40 waves. There are a lot of different monkey types, and balloon types too, which keeps things interesting, along with plenty of upgrades. There's a bit too much microtransaction/daily updates/daily challenges/pay to win bullshit for my liking, but it's easy enough to ignore all that and just focus on the main game. Good to dip into for a few minutes to play a level or two.

Sonic Adventure 2 - Steam
Haven't played this since I was a kid who couldn't be assed to do the other missions and get all A-ranks. Initially I was disappointed in the gameplay, bar a couple of highlights, but playing it properly and going for the A-ranks, I've sunk 20 hours into the game and I'm not even halfway. Really made me appreciate the level design, with added elements of exploration required for the other missions. The controls/camera are still a bit wonky, but there's a charm to it. The steam version has mad stability issues though lmao. Almost done with Hero side, will be on that Dark hype after.

Also got Sekiro on the side I haven't touched in a while, but it's good fun so far.

I think I was a bit unfair on the first Uncharted game when I played it earlier this year because it wasn't the game I was expecting it to be after playing the first CD Tomb Raider.

I'm now halfway through Uncharted 2 and I'm really liking it! The variety of locations really helps keep things fresh. I'm not normally a fan of enforced stealth but in the first game I don't think I ever used melee combat after the tutorial, so I think they do a good job of dangling a little stealth kill every now and then. This breaks up the main cover shooting mechanic quite organically without making it a stealth section, although the stealth level in the museum was awesome too.

Scott Pilgrim (Switch)
Initially, I was (unnecessarily) comparing this to SoR4; it's not as good as that, but it's still lots of fun and has bags of charm. I'm on the 4th level now and it feels like a bit of a workout; it can be tricky enough! Not so sure about the levelling system on the characters though, particularly for co-op; means having to start afresh rather than just dropping in, which is a bit of a pain.

Have you bought any items yet, there’s a particularly helpful item you can get in a hidden store towards the end of the first level. You will need to save up cash for it though.

I bought I a hat and a t-shirt on the 3rd level - that's all so far. Once you buy them do you have them forever? Or is it applicable only to that run? I'm assuming the latter as can still see the items when you go back into the shop. Should prob read up on it - could have done with it being explained / bit clearer in game.

Yeah I think they are specific to that run, the game is basically designed for you to replay levels in order to save cash and upgrade. It’s worth having a look online at a guide if you want to get an idea of what the best items to go for are.

This feels so good, made it to Stage 4 with 1 coin in Game Tengoku CruisinMix Special. There's only 78 people on the leaderboard, but I still took 17th. :toot:

After playing a bit of Nioh on stream I went back to my old save file from a few years back where I’d made it about 3/4 of the way through the game. I was quickly reminded why I stopped playing in the first place.

The mission I had reached is really bloody tough and level ups are very expensive now. I did make it to the boss and had a few fights against him which didn’t go too badly. I’m pretty confident I can take him down.

Back on F1 2021 now, i've finished Two Point Hospital, Life is Strange: True Colours, and Where The Heart Leads, and i'm not expecting any new ones for the time being.

Where The Heart Leads is quality by the way (it's kinda like life is strange in how decisions made in game affects how the story progresses, but without the supernatural element), no idea if anyone here has tried it, but if you haven't, look it up.

Nearing the end of act 3 of Ghost of Tsushima. I have actually started to really enjoy it again. I think it was helped my a cool mythic quest I have just done (that involves bonfires), which felt really fresh and novel after so much copy and paste gameplay.

I understand the DLC offers quite a few twists on the mechanics, so i'm feeling more inspired to try it rather than just call it a day. I don't see myself doing all the sidequests that have built up though (but I did do the ones that were sequences to tales for individual characters).

Also playing Citizen Sleeper, which i'm enjoying a lot.

I managed that boss in Nioh but found after such a long break I’d forgotten what was going on story wise so I’m gonna stick with my fresh save file.

That said I think firing up Nioh so soon after Elden Ring was a mistake so I’m gonna leave it for a little while and I started playing Eiyuden Chronicle Rising on Series S last night.

It’s a prequel game to an upcoming RPG from the people behind the Suikoden series. It plus very differently to how the main game will as it’s more of an action RPG with some light Metroidvania elements.

It’s early days yet and I’ve heard it gets a bit filler heavy (side quests have already seen me visiting the same dungeon 5 or 6 times and I’ve read it’s maybe a 5 hr game stretched over about 20 hrs) but so far I’m enjoying it. It looks amazing, controls really well and there’s a great sense of humour to the banter between your party and the NPCs.

I watched this review of the game, Cumberdanes, and it looks good. I did a double-take near the end when I noticed the developer as being "Natsume-Atari". Atari?!? I then googled it and it seems that the US arm of Natsume broke away on their own and seemingly *owned Atari*, which I wasn't aware of. I suspect it's a case that, rather like Commodore, multiple people/companies claim to own a bit of the company.

Just started Marvel's The Avengers on PlayStation 5.

It's really good fun so far. Only completed the opening mission as the game is still downloading. But it's an excellent opening level which gives a good introduction to all characters and world builds really well.

Bugsnax. I’m really loving it. I hope it gets as wild as I suspect it will in terms of story. It has some serious Hatoful/Doki Doki vibes to the storytelling.
