Pure Pool (Switch)
Had to jump on the switch version when I saw it in the sale; solely for portability reasons. So, it's rather good(!), but it does have a few niggles... You can't look above the table / move around it properly. Cushion shots (mainly, in snooker) are too much of a pain in the hole (I know, just like real life!). It's a bit too easy to hoof the ball off the table! Snooker feels a little too pool-y(!?) ie. a few too many rebounds / doubles / balls hanging over pockets (oo-er!). It can be hard to judge strength of your shot with the joycon stick. Still, it's good fun and handy for some quick games.

Dragon Quest 11 - Switch

Just gained the ability to unlock red doors. Such a lovely game and a really relaxing game to play and level up in.

Scratch this complaint, I finally figured it out. Makes it a lot more enjoyable!

Dragon Quest 11 - Switch just finished act 1. Checked a guide to see how long I've got left as I'm at 30 hours.... Still a long long way to go. Can't wait.

Even when the end credits roll you’re still only about 3/4 of the way through it.

I’m currently getting a little bit of Sidequest fatigue as the three games in my rotation are Ghost of Tsushima, Trails in the Sky SC and Endwalker. None of these games are doing it bad at all but the combination of the three is kind of wearing me down. Just too many irons in the fire. I’m making glacial progress through each because I’m spending a lot of time doing a lot of little jobs and turning them in. It’s my own fault at playing these with a completionist’s approach, really.

Kyuuyaku Megami Tensei on Super Famicom. Having never really tried the Megaten series bar a brief attempt at Nocturne I thought I’d give the series a proper go and decided to start from the beginning.

I’m playing the Super Famicom remake of the two original Famicom Megami Tensei games and enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would.

I managed to find a FAQ that recommends some of the better demons to add to your party and has a really good guide to the demon fusion system which definitely helps.

Fights in Tight Spaces might be my GOTY. I can't stop playing it and it's taking me away from my VR.

Kingdom Heart 3 - PlayStation 5 -

Started this today and already finished world one, done some space ship stuff and now onto world two. Really enjoyable, a lot to understand with different gameplay mechanics going on. But the story is so complex I'm lost already.

Definite GOTY for me, it's just so much fun, which is ridiculous for an indie rogue lite deckbuilder made with Unity.

It really nails that "one more go" feeling as well. I'm 12 hours in and I'm still just using the balanced deck. I need to try some other styles but I'm just having too much fun.

Still Skyrim. Just added JK's Towns and Cities mod which make all the settlements in Skyrim look absolutely fantastic.

Kingdom Hearts 3 - PlayStation 5 - got up to tangled world after finishing toy story world. Really enjoying this and it's all coming together with gameplay and upgrading.

Dragon Quest 11 - switch - made a lot more progress in this, now onto a new part of the story. Probably need to focus on grinding for a bit as battles are getting tough again.

Still plugging away at Kyuuyaku Megami Tensei. I’ve just beat the 4th boss of the Megami Tensei I part of the game and spent a little time building the party I want for the next area before calling it a day.

That sure does look great, Gemini! Lovely to hear that you're enjoying your Skyrim journey; for s ten-year old game it still seems to be very popular.

I'd thought that this was the recent Megami Tensei HD remake but - having looked it up! - I think it's a Japan-only 1995 SNES remake of two earlier Megami games. How are you finding it, Danes?

Having never really given the series a chance before I’m actually surprised by how far I am in to the game and how much I’m enjoying it… having a guide to refer to is pretty handy though I must admit.

Miles Morales on PS5.

It's a lot of fun, and i'm really enjoying just getting around the city. Pretty game too (playing in performance RT mode or whatever its called, the 60fps one with RT).

Combat seems a bit easy though, maybe i should put it up to the hardest difficulty level. Also, the stealth options seem a touch pointless - it takes longer to plot your takedowns and execute them than it would to just tear gooseberry fool up with a venom punch.

Feels like the perfect game to be playing around xmas (venom punching people in the face notwithstanding).

Just Dance 2022 Unlimited

My wife bought this and I don't care what anyone says, I absolutely love it. Played it all night and didn't want to stop. I've always had a soft spot for these games but this is the first one I've played for a good few years.

I'm absolutely hooked on this too - but a little way behind you I think.

I'm about 30 hours in so far.

Death Stranding Directors Cut.

Im really digging it so far. Definitely my sort of game.
