Super Mario Sunshine.

Enjoying this on a similar level to 64 so far, though I am not a fan of the cut-scenes - especially when Bowser Jr is involved. I never particularly liked him before and this game has certainly cemented that.

Just finished a reasonably quick run of Moon (well, 25 hours) and got a Magearna, now doing the same for Ultra Moon so I can grab a second one while I’ve got a Pokémon Bank sub again, might go through Crystal again to get another Celebi too.

I streamed a little more Ninja Gaiden Sigma this afternoon on PS4. By Christ that game winds me up. When it goes well I enjoy it but it rarely goes well.

Stuck on Akane. This is really solid. I wish it was something more than a high score game. It plays really well.

Also did Feros on ME1. This game is strawberry floating janky as hell.

I prefer Sunshine to 64, I'm definitely in the minority there though.

I didn't actually play 64 until the DS re-release despite owning an N64, I did end up buying a few of the launch games 2nd hand when I gave my sister the console (She was about 11 at the time at did actually play quite a few games then - she doesn't now shes 26)

Godfall - PS5 - Well I enjoy it. Simple hack and slash gameplay and it's pretty too.

Monster Hunter Stories 2 - Switch Lite - up to the ice area. Such a brilliant game. Could play it all day it's just so relaxing and fun.

Wish my image sig would work

I haven't had time to play anything over the last six weeks or so, but I started Start Ocean: The Last Hope a while back and so finally got around to continuing with that yesterday. It feels like a typical JRPG so far - pretty formulaic, a battle system that takes some getting used to, annoying characters, and poor writing - but it also has a decent premise and is fairly enjoyable so far. There are a few things I don't like but it does other things well, so I'm enjoying it for the most part.

Loved Akane! Enough to write a EG thing about it! Great game-feel and vibe, and getting into the right rhythm to get a high-score is nicely hypnotic.

Liked it enough to end up getting all the achievements and upgrades (which are oddly paced I think in the way they're doled out - some crap stuff comes quite late?!)

The pixel-art intro of her in the lift with the corpses - Oldboy style - is cool too.

Deffo worth the sub-quid it often costs

Got further on in A Plague Tale which at certain times, if the lighting is just right, looks life like....it's few and far between but it really does look that good....

In fact, 3 of the best looking games on my Series X are last gen games that got upgraded, Doom Eternal's RT is glorious, as is Metro Exodus'. I've briefly played Greedfall and that also looked lush.

Cheers! Yeah, was beginning to wonder if I'd ever to do it. There's a couple of really tricky sections that took a while to figure out. Definitely, got my money's worth from the game. I clocked up something like 95hrs on it!

Human fall flat. I don't know what it is about this game that makes me like it and hate it at the same time.

I love solving the puzzles, yet I hate struggling against the controls. Yet, the whole point of it is to struggle against the controls, like the climbing mechanic especially.

And often doing that leads you to a completely different solution. It's kind of ingenious, but also fairly annoying.

Often there are things I don't think it's possible to do, but then I do them, but only after about the tenth time of asking. But then I find there's another way, which was really simple all along. Grrr.

So, I finally managed to merge my old Wii U and Switch accounts together so I could buy stuff on the Wii U store. First 2 up were Ocarina of Time and Majoras mask (€10 each) and while they run poorly and look (lets say) angular, man, I'm looking forward to playing through both.

I'm gonna go find my old Wii Controller in my folks and get the Metroid Prime Trilogy (only €20 digtitally). Right now though the Wii U is my dedicated Zelda machine, I have The Wind Waker, TP, Breath of the Wild and now the 2 N64 classics. I might get the Minish cap at some point but I'm really excited. :D

It's the perfect diversion for the next couple of weeks before a deluge of Gamepass games land.

Getting near the end of Twilight Princess HD now (i think). Its been really really good.

Also started Catherine Full Body Edition on Switch, which i'm liking a lot. I love games where there is a very pure gameplay section, but also a VN type part. And bonus points if the VN section has you making choices, and you dont have enough "time" to simply exhaust all the dialogue trees. It feels much more like a rear functioning world (here it is represented by people coming and going from the bar you hang out in).

I polished off all the side quests in Breath of the Wild yesterday so I’m about as done with it as I care to be for now. Played a little Super Mario World on the Switch SNES app last night. Currently about half way through Special World.

I've just started Control, is it expected that I shouldn't have a clue what is going on? I'm getting an SCP vibe but I beyond that, I'm quite confused.
