It really is. I like the plane view, it just reminds me of old ace combat and afterburner. But with the normal view (with black side bars on my ultrawide) and no FOV slider, I had to use the nose cam view so I could actually see targets.

The modding community had a fix, and it’s a massive improvement. Such a fun game and looks excellent.

Finished ME1 Remastered last night, I didn't intend on finishing as soon as I did. I got back into it on Friday and I was doing the main stuff but I was thinking, ill get to a certain point and do some side missions. The last few main missions kind of have a 'we must act now Shepard' vibe so I sped through them still thinking ill get back to the side things and low and behold I finished the game.

Getting back into Immortal Fenyx Rising too, I just finished Athena's stuff but this game is such a break from the norm of open world adventure games, it's nods to BOTW are perfect because it's not the same (of course) but it does have that more simple aesthetic albeit being genuinely jaw dropping at points visually.

So, bit the bullet and blitzed through the spider underground bunker in Metro Exodus, I did this with the game audio turned off and listened to Eurovision hits through Spotify to help me. I've just held off an assault on the crane tower and I'm finished off side stuff. It's among the best looking games I have on the Series X. Unloading on enemies and creatures and seeing the sand kick up as bullets hit is fantastic, the whole game is breath taking. That RT global illumination mixed with that 60fps.... perfect.

I played more BotW over the weekend, done 3 divine beasts, maxed out stamina and now up to 85 shrines.

That looks really smart, Photek - lovely detail and colour! 4k, I'm guessing?

Yakuza Like a Dragon - Somewhere around chapter 9 and I've hit the first fight where I'm actually struggling. It's the one against Nanba and Ishioda. The gun attack by Ishioda absolutely strawberry floats over a character in one hit and I've not got any optional characters (due to being gooseberry fool at the biz management section) so it's 3 against 4. Decided to grind up a couple of levels and maybe upgrade a weapon or two, first time I'm at a spot where I need a grind and all the strawberry floating taxis have disappeared :x. Great game though.

Just about past the halfway point in Metro Last Light. Rescued Anna, did the river of fate with Khan.

The swamp bit was annoying tbh. I think that's easily the worst part of the game. Really love being back in the Metro.

Having finished ace combat 7 I’m now trying out Doom Eternal on gamepass with RT. It looks incredible. I just can’t get into a rhythm with it. I recognise it might be an unpopular opinion, but the platforming sections are awful, and the controls don’t really help in some areas.

Twilight Princess HD. It’s really good. I’m so glad I finally got around to playing it. I have had it since launch day, but kept holding off and even packed up my Wii U. It feels great to be giving that a new lease of life too.

Bit more Breath of the Wild today I’ve hit 90 shrines and cleared all Divine Beasts. Not sure what I’m gonna do next, I may just head for the end or perhaps try and clear as many side quests and shrines as I can.

I keep hearing that, but i really didnt find it a problem. I just saw it as a bit of scene setting.

I'm currently working through Snowpeak ruins. I can see why it is such a popular dungeon. It's so damn cozy, but also clever and interesting.

Oh, and WW

On your first playthrough, sure, I think its an effective and suitably epic opening. It's an absolute pace killer on a replay though!

That's why you only play it once and love it forever. ;) Still tremendously fond of Ordon Village. (And that's after a replay actually!)

It's the wolf, like, you can't really do f**k all as the wolf and I HATED being stuck as one at the start.

Made it to 105 shrines in Breath of the Wild tonight. I’ve come this far so I might as well go for all 120 now. I’ll likely use a guide/map for the key 15 just to save a little time.

I might aim for getting all armour sets too as I only have a few left to acquire but I doubt I’ll bother getting all the upgrades and Koroks can strawberry float right off. 900? Get to strawberry float!

Harvest Moon Light of Hope- Apparently the internet hates this because it's not by the original Harvest Moon developer but I'm loving it. I've got into this in a way I never did with Stardew Valley.

Playing Mass Effect 1 on the legendary edition and also Shatter on PC.

Shatter is really good!
