Tiny Tina's Wonderland's - finished mains story, it was good but brief. Currently searching the over world for secrets to get all buffs and also puah to max level.

Ghostwire Tokyo - whizzing along with this, as soon as aide content is unlocked I do it and get more XP and equipment. Only negative so far is the poor water spell, other two are great though.

I think Patrick's Parabox might be an early contender for my GOTY, its just brilliant.

The blurb from its site explains it far better than I can

Patrick's Parabox is an award-winning puzzle game that explores a unique recursive system of boxes within boxes within boxes within boxes. Learn to manipulate the world's structure by pushing boxes into and out of each other. Wrap your head around what happens when a box contains itself, and learn to use infinity to your advantage. Explore many more mechanics and recursive twists as you delve deeper and deeper into the system. It's boxes all the way down.

The game has over 350 hand-crafted puzzles, which are designed to make you think, but also to guide you and showcase the beauty of the system. Each puzzle contains a new idea; there is no filler.

Kind of messes with your perception of reality after a while though.

Metroid Dread
Pretty sure I'm coming to the end now; just got the wave beam and power bomb. It's been a joy to play and have enjoyed the story, will be sad to see it end. I think I'll try and finish it before going for the 100%, but that'll depend on how hard the last boss is! The bosses haven't been too bad so far, tricky yes, but fair. Hopefully, won't have to wait as long on the next Metroid adventure!

Playing Resident Evil Zero.

I played this back in the day. It's strangely compelling yet incredibly flawed. The lack of an inventory box is such a stupid decision that it hampers the game significantly.

And yet still enjoyable  I can't figure it out.

Coromon

The second Pokemon type game I've started this year (the other being Monster Crown) but I'm finding it a lot more enjoyable as its a lot easier on the eyes (looks like a GBA game rather than a NES game) and seems to be more than just a Pokemon homage, there elements of other RPGs (mainly Golden Sun, with less obvious Phantasy Star vibes).

Also, it's finally a monster catching RPG where you don't play as a kid (a young adult this time).

Started Slay the Spire tonight. It seems pretty fun but I feel like I'd rather just keep playing Fights In Tight Spaces instead.

Not yet sure if that's just because I know that game better or if it's just a better game. They very similar though, except Fights includes movement on a board as an extra consideration.

Slay the Spire and Fights in Tight Spaces seen to be 2 of the most well regarded card battlers (and Monster Train, which I didn't like).

I have only played StS of those two and loved it, but I really like the aesthetic of Fights, and am hoping it will come to a subscription service on console at some point.

Unsurprisingly Days Gone at 144fps on PC is so much more enjoyable to play than the locked 30fps version on PS4. I'm looking forward to the inevitable Ghost of Tsushima Steam port.

Loved it when I played it a few months ago on PS5. Fantastic game.

I like them both, Fights is definitely the better game but StS is still good, albeit extremely difficult (around 100 hours played and still only had two winning runs), there's a really well made community mod for it too (Downfall) which has its own Steam store page.

Didn't get on with Monster Train either but Neoverse is good fun (a little bit pervy though).

Currently playing Fez for the first time and I’m really liking it, simple idea but well executed. I am getting confused by where I actually am after going through multiple doors and gates  but I’ve got about 10 cubes so far so making good progress.

Ah! Are you playing it on Switch, Milner? I picked it up a while ago and, even having played it back on the 360, it was ace to try it out again. Like you, I sometimes find the travel routes a bit hard to fathom... but it's such a lovely game!

Yeah I grabbed it whilst it was on sale, I also had it on 360 but only dabbled with it back then. I really like it, the soundtrack is great to listen to with headphones on playing the game! But yeah, it’s just the travel routes that have me a little confused at the minute  I just seem to be jumping to one area after another and never seem to return to anywhere except for the main hub section. Maybe it will click eventually but I have currently got about 10 of the 32 cubes they want you to find so I’m guessing I must be a good chunk into it by now

Still Coromon, it's been fairly decent so far, perhaps slightly on the easy side but it has some great QoL features desperately needed in the Pokemon games (not having to delete old moves is really helpfu, you're still limited to 4 at a time but free to chop and change as necessary).

Monster designs are a bit hit and miss though.

After watching a couple of streams I fancied giving Avengers a go and since it’s on Game Pass it would be rude not to. Early days yet but I’m enjoying it so far. I’ll likely just play the campaign though, got no real interest in the multiplayer stuff.

The in game save is showing 86% done on this so far, I really like it! Navigating the map has clicked for me now as well I’m getting on ok moving towards which rooms I want to go to. Some of the puzzles to obtain the Anti Cubes go right over me though  I have picked up a few though so that’s good. Think I have about 26 cubes of the 32 I need now so I’ll do some more searching before I go through the next locked door.

Wonderful 101 Remaster on Switch.

I almost gave up it after the first 90 mins, but I can see there is a really good, in depth, unique game behind the awkward control scheme and the very opaque information on how to actually play the game. I seriously have no idea on some mechanics still, and even after reading up on them elsewhere. Team attacks? Queuing unite morphs? Maybe they are explained later, but at the 3 hour mark (roughly) there is still seemingly no info on them. And I breezed through Astral Chain and both Bayonetta titles.

But even if I never get more than a rudimentary grasp of the gameplay, its certainly a refreshing thing to play.

30 hours into Days Gone and I'm loving it. There are great moments which happen by accident when the different factions interact like you'll be running from a horde and you stumble into a bandit camp. And then everyone starts fighting each other.

My stealth assault on a camp has just been wrecked by a grizzly bear wandering in. He's going mental in here.

Would you say he couldn't....... bear it in there?

Yep, fantastic game. I want my sequel.
