Final Fantasy 3 Pixel Remaster (ps5)

Got collection as treat for myself on birthday and having already finished 1&2 I started 3.

Enjoying it loads more than I did on 3D remake on steam, helps that it has classic font so it doesn't feel like I'm playing mobile port at all. It looks nice, plays well and when lack of extra stuff does suck I'm just glad to have these games, especially FF3.

Just past Heins Castle (bit after fire crystal) with party lineup of Black Mage, Knight, Ranger and White Mage it's really nice and chill game. I'd be tempted to give 3D remake another chance sometime this year...

I hated immersive sims such as Dishonored and Prey, but this has elements of the same genre and is absolutely fantastic.

Perhaps it’s just further evidence that Arkane can’t make games that feel good to play.

and now I wait…

Mankind Divided is even better. Just a fantastic environment to explore.

Just started this puzzle game called Can of Wormholes. Bonkers premise. Game keeps introducing more and more mechanics, and it all just works. Lots of lovely little 'aha' moments when things click into place. Only a couple hours in, but it feels really special already.

I bought the Xbox version a couple of days ago (bought a key for £6). Apparently it has frame boost too.

I’m about 13 hours in to HR now and am loving everything about it (other than sometimes getting confused by the map). I have even ramped the difficulty up to the hardest one to fully engage with all the mechanics. And I am normally not a fan of stealth games.

Nearing the end of the Mexico section in Red Dead Redemption, still got chills when you first arrive in Mexico and you head out on a ride to the local town

Edit, just reached Blackwater, will leave it there for today, superb game just like it was back in 2010.

I decided to give Dying Light 2 another play. I am so rusty with this game.

I haven't been keeping up with the DLC development or anything tbh, and I was surprised they added guns.

Really getting into Frontiers of Pandora now, the game has opened up and it's now possible to free roam and explore rather than having to focus solely on the missions.

Been playing Final Fantasy 4 (Pixel Remaster). Deffo more of challenge than first three, and the story is more beefier. Although I dunno if I'd prefer it to 3 but it's good game. Just has annoying moments but with no encounter toggelable, it helps.

Think I'm about 3/4 way to the end, and I'll be doing side content (those which aren't missable) after final boss as well.

It's cool that you're enjoying the journey through these older Final Fantasy titles, Seven. I've not played them but I believe that many folk feel that the games got better as they went on.

Have you tried Stranger of Paradise? I think it's a take on the very first FF game; it got mixed views but I picked up a copy and will try it out some time.

Just finished the main quest on Red Dead Redemption, still my favourite Rockstar game so far, a wonderful story. I can’t wait to finally try out Undead Nightmare too, might make a start on it shortly really. Makes me think I should really try Red Dead Redemption 2 at some point, not sure why I never gave that the time it probably deserves when it came out really.

Can of Wormholes keeps throwing surprising revelations my way. My reactions to figuring out these revelations range from "Oh, that's neat", to "That's very clever", all the way to "Oh, God damn it! That changes everything!"

I want to! Just waiting for it to go good price before I bite. May be while but that's okay, got games to play. I ended up prefering 3 to 4 but 4 was great (just finished it). Onto FFV which is basically FF3 but with FF4's ATB system. Job system is always treat.

Made a start on Undead Nightmare this morning, much like the main game, I don't see myself 100-ing it, but it seems very fun so far, although I know I won't have it in me to kill all the Sasquatch, not that I'd want to anyway! Found one of the 4 horses too, the fire one, which is beneficial when it comes to killing the undead.

Edit, no idea how long it is, but kind of hoping it's on the short and sweet side of things, been great fun seeing the characters, a couple of them in their element as well

Still trundling along in Fenyx Rising in the first main area you go to, its got a lovely art style however fenyx doesn't really have much of a personality, fortunately the narration/bickering between prometheus and zeus carries it in terms of characterisation.

I'm not playing. Anything.

I load up a game... play for five minutes... then switch off. Can't get into anything for some reason. It feels like I am taking a break from gaming.

Vanquish (PS5)
Just started this today, a lot of fun so far but playing it more as a cover shooter rather than using the boosts, which I'm guessing I should be! Could see me running through this again at some point, I've killed a lot of friendlies on these early missions :D

Pro Evo 2018 (PS4)
West Midlands Village are Division 2 champions - time to take on the Premier League Division 1 and conquer Europe too :datass:
I have to say that the commentary in this is quite bizarre. I thought the days of dodgy commentary had died out in the PS2 days, but some of the lines Jim Beglin comes out with are just baffling (but hilarious). Peter Drury's much better, but he has some odd lines too. Adds to the fun of it all I guess.

Resogun
I keep coming back to this. It's so good. I'm not actually playing the main mode that much - it's more the DLC modes: Protector, Survival, and Commando (with the exception of the wrecking ball one - not a fan of that). The weekly challenges are good too. It's a shame the normal challenges are locked behind different ranks or levels. I feel like I've already played the game a tonne and barely unlocked any of them. Not sure I'll make it to some of the others. The soundtrack's a banger too.

Driveclub
I'm steadily working my way through this and still enjoying it. It's a shame they've nerfed all the DLC, as I would've happily bought so much of the content for this.

Tomb Raider (PS4)
Having an absolute blast with this. There's really very little to fault in it. I'm trying to take my time with it, and I've no idea how close I am to the end, but I want to keep taking it at my own pace and enjoying it. Really high quality in all areas.

flOw (PS4)
Really struggled to get into this. I played it once and was about to give up, but I thought I may as well try for some of the trophies. It definitely helps having some kind of direction or goal, rather than just floating around aimlessly. It's still not great though. A couple more trophies and I'll be done, but the controls are quite frustrating, and might lead me to give up even before getting those.

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round (PS4)
I'm only playing the basic version of this - the prices for characters and other modes are a joke - but it's entertaining enough for something free. Won't be playing it much longer, but it's a fun diversion. Shame the Dead or Alive games seem to have gone down this kind of bullshit route though.

Quake (PC)
This has grown on me slightly, but it's still not grabbing me all that much. It's fine.

I'm missing F76.

Geez, what a sad floater :fp: .

I might go back to it; pay the subscription and get PS Plus Essential. Gonna think about it.

... :o . I had thought that my annual F76 sub had expired... but I still have five days left :toot: . Am playing now... all is right with the world once again.
