I’ve done 3 runs (not brave enough for Ironman) on varying difficulties and 150 hours. Loved it. I’m on my first Ironman run, and I’m terrified.

I always seem to get to the really long end game missions and get my arse handed to me, get annoyed and stop playing for a while. When I come back to the game I invariably decide to start a new campaign and the cycle begins again .

I do the same with most strategy games though, I've played Civ V for over 1000 hours yet probably have less than 30 game 'wins'.

Its like the gaming equivalent of erectile dysfunction :lol:

What an analogy.

I have Civ 6 (I saw it was fireaxis too) for free from Epic, just never got around to starting it. It looks interesting but a new IP and therefore a whole new learning curve so I’ve opted for other games ahead of trying civ. I will give it a go one day (unless Xcom 3 comes out).

Void Bastards for me, mixed with some Mass Effect Legendary Edition and also mopping up easy cheevos in Tell Me Why to push me nearer to the 10k Rewards for this months challenge (less than 2k left to get)

Finished with ABZU. It was a little great game and it was so relaxing to play it.

Started playing Concrete Genie and it seems pretty good so far.

I've had an extremely successful night of killing on Dead By Daylight and now I'm only 4 trophies from getting the platinum :shock:

However 3 nurse blinks into a grab is going to be impossible :dread:

Dead Rising on PS4. I was in the middle of a pretty good run on Sunday afternoon but strawberry floated it up when I let a story mission time out.

Just quickly hopped into Returnal after taking another short break from it.

I aced Xcom and it's DLC on 360 but I can't get past like 5 missions in Xcom 2. Aliens reviving the dead (who have more health when they are alive) is a ball ache! F**king white walker aliens FFS!

Yeah. XCOM 2 is like strawberry floating nails soaked in diamonds. I also hate that field you have to stay out of which alerts aliens. I'll probably give it one more go, on an easier setting. (I've already quit the game outright two or three times now :slol:

Been playing some Trine 4, on the much hated Google Stadia.

I've really enjoyed it, both the humour the general vibe and the puzzle-platforming gameplay. It seems really slick and a lot of fun, particularly enjoying flipping between the playing styles.

Having not put any time into the previous games in the series, I've no idea how it stacks up in comparison, but just on its own merits so far this is a hit with me.

Earth Defense Force World Brothers - PlayStation 4 game (running on PS5)

Just released today, sadly digital only but it's on Steam, Switch and PlayStation. It's a different take on the classic EDF games and it's good fun. A bit easy and bit simplistic but it has a lot of charm to it. Each level has 3 heroes to find and they are representative of a part of the world. Tons of characters to find, weapons, accessories and enemies.

A very good and easy to play game.

Been wearing the new Pride charm in Dead By Daylight this morning and had a couple of heartwarming moments when other survivors have noticed it and we've given each other a quick couple of nods in acknowledgment. :wub:

Started up The Wild at Heart last night on Gamepass (as a break from trudging through the mud in Snowrunner). Only at the very start but it's giving me big Pikmin crossed with Don't Starve vibes. This is a good thing and I will persevere.

The voxel style is really putting me off to be honest. Not something that bothers you or is the game fun regardless?

Picked up Transformers Battlegrounds for about £12 online and I've been playing through it for most of the week, rather fun and enjoyable game. It's a little bit basic of a strategy game but as it's a kids game, it's fair enough.
