You've got ten seconds to beat it before I add you to the list of NSF casualties.

Despite it's awkward hardware limitations, clunky mechanics and threadbare plot, it's still a pretty fun game!

Yeah, no, this isn't fun anymore. I spent hours doing nothing but grinding just so that the generic mooks in the final dungeon wouldn't kick my gooseberry fool it in, only to get completely wiped in one move by the final boss.

I've already got the best gear in the game, so I'm probably looking at another five levels of grinding at a minimum, and I just really cannot be bothered.

Beat Ultimate weapon in FFVII. Kind of underwhelming honestly; weird that this was the only big post game/optional boss in the original release. I heard the other two that were added for the international release are significantly harder.

Started playing Deep Rock Galactic with a mate last night after hearing positive talk on the Giant Bomb GOTY discussion. It seems really good. Lots of challenge in terms of negotiating the environments and the combat is really rewarding. The lighting is amazing too, and it looks lovely on a decent OLED with HDR.

I'm in the final third of Persona 5 now and it's just so good. The combat is so satisfying and every encounter feels like its own puzzle. I haven't played a huge amount of JRPGs but I think this is probably the best one and it certainly makes Pokémon feel stale.

Yeah Ultimate Weapon is a bit of a pushover in all honest, Ruby and Emerald are where the real challenge is at

Played that Bit Blaster XL on PC, really enjoyed the 2 hours it took to get all the ships. Moved onto the updated version.

Flitting between games but annoyingly nothing is taking my fancy / hooking me. This always happens to me after I am done with a game I thoroughly enjoyed playing.

I often struggle with that too. Have you tried watching a season of something? Oftentimes I'll find that spending a few days reading a book or watching a new show will reset my desire to commit to a new game.

Will give it a shot. Thanks for the suggestion.

I have FF7 Remake and DB: Kakarot on their way to me, so hopefully one of the two will occupy me soon enough.

Playing Ys VIII at the moment. A lot. It's like the sequel to the first Xenoblade Chronicles that I never got.

FF7 Remake is wonderful. I'd be surprised if it didn't immediately get its hooks into you.

Great game despite the shonky translation. (I still wish they go back to making top-down Ys.)

I hope so. The demo certainly didn't do it for me on its initial release.

Onimusha: Warlords on PS4. I started streaming this afternoon and the game holds up pretty well. I didn’t get very far, I beat the second boss before calling it a day.
