Hyrule Warriors - switch lite - adventure mode, so much to do and it's brilliant but frustrating. Under levelled characters and low level weapons means a lot of grinding and it's hard to unlock another level of weapon as you need to use a specific character for each weapon you want.

The boss monsters kill the pace and they need to be hit with specific items so it's less hack and slash more wait and slash.

Fate Extella Link - PlayStation 5 - one of the best musou games ever. Such a random concept which allows for loads of unique characters to come together. Also runs without slowdown and has the most characters on screen I've seen in a Musou game.

Wish my image sig would work

Are you aware much of Fate otherwise? The lore is really very good (if very involved!)

The combat’s top, the ambience is top, and while the farming feels almost intentionally tedious at times, it’s somehow very cathartic and getting ‘better’ at it is really rewarding! I love how it links into the combat too. Apparently the two-person development team spent five years on this, and most of that was researching rice farming, which is kind of adorable.

It just gets better and betterer. (Although I have experienced a couple of annoying bugs.) Up to year five now. (I got to year three and decided to start again with the knowledge I'd accumulated thus far :fp: .( I think an awful lot of the complexities of the game - fighting skills, collecting the right things for the farming, food preparation etc. etc. have passed over but I keep pushing in the right direction overall. Really is a wonderful game.

Enemies getting stuck in the scenery perchance? That's happened to me a couple of times too. Also: one point where I got pushed belong the fight-erected barrier into the end of the level. :slol: It's been developed by two people so I'm a bit more forgiving that I would be about Cyberpunk, say!

Been putting more hours in and I'm doing well. I decided to use Big Surf Island as a training ground of sorts; I was able to eventually find all the jumps, smashes and billboards, after which I did the road rules and showtimes for each street. The only thing I haven't done is the freeburn stuff as I don't have online.

Now I'm trying to replicate that across Paradise City, starting with the billboards, of which I have 92/120 so far.

Managed to find all the billboards and finished off the smashes tonight. I should probably get on with actually doing some of the events now that I've found all of those as well.

Still got plenty of jumps to find and haven't done any of the showtime challenges or timed road rules.

Now done all the times road rules, just the showtimes and jumps left along with the rest of the main game.

Check out my YouTube channel!
One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

Finally done with Resi 4 on professional difficulty on PS4. I really enjoyed it for the most part but a couple of the late game areas were a nightmare like the bit with all the turrets. Mike is meant to take them out with rockets but just didn’t seem to want to help out. Went in to the Saddler fight with loads of healing items and pretty well armed too but barely scraped through.

I saw Cora stream this and the latter stages did look to be pretty tough to get through - and I don't think that was on professional difficulty!

I've only played the opening hour or two but, yeah, I thought it was great. Super-creepy but impressive. It's a game I want to give a proper go so I'll need to dig out my PS3 sometime.

Probably not, I think the general consensus is 2>1>3.

I'm more like 1>3>2. 3 gets a lot of gooseberry fool thrown at it. It's a pretty good game.

I gotta say that I have a feeling that most folk would lean towards 1>2>>>>>>3. It runs along similar lines to Terminator; 1 is the cool, atmospheric classic, 2 is the great but more action-focused sequel and 3 is the let's-just-do-action follow-up.

I'm keen to run through 'em all!

That's a really good way to look at it, Jawa. And I can definitely agree with you there.

I've played the original game several times but the sequel only once. Never even touched the third game after the bad publicity it got.

Dead Space didn't grab me at all. I started it, played for a couple of hours, and haven't been back to it since. Seemed okay, but didn't make me want to keep playing it. As for what I'm currently playing:

Garfield Kart - Furious Racing
:slol: I bought this because there were a lot of jokes about it, but I'd also seen it featured in a couple of videos and it didn't seem to be too bad. I was in the mood for a kart racer so I thought I'd give it a go. It's actually not bad. It's not great either, but I've played much worse games. I've enjoyed my several hours with it so far, so feel like I've got my £3.00 worth, and I'm still intending to unlock everything and complete all the GPs. Yes, the ususal kart racing tropes are here, and the obligatory cheating AI which pretty much makes it more about luck than skill at times, but that's all kart racers, not just this. Tracks are a mixed bag, and I don't know any of the characters apart from Garfield and Jon, but that's not exactly why I'm playing it. Fun enough for me.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution
I love everything about this. I played the other night and got completely engrossed, to the point that I lost track of time completely and before I knew it 2am had come around - I must've been playing for 3 or 4 hours at that point. It ticks lots of boxes for what I like in a game and there's very little - if anything - that I have to complain about so far. One of those games where you can't wait until you get the time to sit down and play it again.

Human Revolution is a great game and was a real surprise when it came out. As a huge Deus Ex fan I was expecting a big disappointment but whilst it couldn't quite match up to the original it managed to capture many of its aspects far, far better than I anticipated!

Mankind Divided is well worth playing too. I only got around to playing it late last year but I thought it was amazing. The story telling in the environmental design was really something quite special.

Seems reasonable, plenty of great games that need playing.

I don’t know if there’s any BC Xbone-enhanced shengs with Dead Space on there apart from the now-nonexistent loading, but they all still look excellent. Recently replayed them all and Jawa is on the money.

Yeah it looks very crisp and clean. The only loading is that which is masked by a long lift ride etc. I'm not sure if loading of this nature can even be cut down beyone what it was originaly designed to be (as sometimes a video log is playing during it), and some of them go on for a good 15-20 seconds. Its fine though - adds to the tension.

I bet it would be good as a 60fps game/series though.
