Oh, I believe you.

Friend said he found X harder than GX due to Master Hand track (I don't know if that's its name, but it's track that looks like hand on map), but I do remember be able to do that whereabouts I struggled with GX even at lower difficulties.

The Gunk. I'm a little disappointed by this. It doesn't do enough to introduce new mechanics. It doesn't do much with the ones it has already.

It's an okay game. Just nowhere near the other games I've played by this developer.

That sounds like a fair assessment. I quite liked scanning stuff (though it was hardly a novel mechanic), but the upgrades were all pretty uninteresting.

Anyway, I started Persona 5 Royal yesterday. It's off to a strong start.

I need to go back to F-Zero GX as well myself. Completed Story Mode, but I think I still have some ship parts to unlock and maybe some of the GPs. I don't like it as much as F-Zero X, but it's still good. I'll take what I can get when it comes to F-Zero :(

Anyway...

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
Feels like a pretty sizeable game, as I've been playing for what feels like ages (think it's actually about 15 hours) but I'm only a third or maybe nearly halfway through exploring the map. I've no idea how many quests are still to come, how long the main quest is, or anything else like that, but I feel like it'll be a good while before I'm done with this. It's fairly good, but it's not grabbing me like I thought it would. I sometimes have to convince myself to play it, but I do have a good time with it.

Poi
Growing on me more and more, this. Not groundbreaking or amazing by any stretch, and honestly a bit basic in places, but it has a charm to it and it's pretty well done overall. Not sure I'll be fussed about getting every item and getting 100%, but I'll certainly see the main levels through. I'm surprised at how much there is to do outside the main levels, but it's welcome.

Bloons TD 6
Chipping away at this still. Going to take me a long time to get all the upgrades and do all maps on all difficulties. Great to dip in and out of, but all the microtransaction stuff can piss off.

After finishing off Lego Star Wars and seeing quite a few endings (of how many I don’t know) of The Stanley Parable, I’m now back on with Tunic, I’ve used a guide to get me back on track though, I’d already spent a fair bit of time wondering the over-world to no avail, turns out I’d missed a tunnel under a bridge in the forest :fp:

Dorf Romantik

What a pleasant, relaxing game. Imagine a solo Carcassonne with the feel of a light Mini Motorways-like puzzle and that is this game. It's just really lovely.

With Pokémon Snap coming out on N64 on switch I've been playing that alongside other games listed in my last message, I'm enjoying it a lot and considering I've yet to play new one it'll be perfect to do that before I jump into new one.

Also Final Fantasy XIV, though my playtime is mostly raiding (on last fight, almost got it so hopefully we'll clear it this week) and socializing with people. Don't have huge movitation to level up my alt or do any kind of relic grinding

Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes - I'm really enjoying this a lot. Not sure if it's better than the first one as that was so streamlined and had an amazing adventure mode. Almost upgraded all the different parts of the base. Got my main to level 50 and slowly unlocking more characters. Not sure if I like the class change mechanism though.

Capcom Fighting Collection - I'm terrible at this. But I still love it. Red Earth is a game I've wanted to play for 20 years, puzzle fighters is simple fun and darkstalkers is as epic as ever. It's so fast to jump between games and the whole package is so well polished.

Everybody's Golf/Hotshots Golf World Invitational

Its good but by christ the spectator voices are beginning to boil my piss, theres one in particular that I want to punch my monitor every time I hear it (A nasal aussie woman shouting "don't rush, downt raaaash!" in a really patronizing way almost every time I'm taking a shot, causing me to strawberry float it up).

I started Sniper Elite 5 last night after seeing a post on Resetera about it. I'd never really given the series much of a look before, as I'm generally terrible at shooters, but I didn't realise this might just be the game/series to scratch that MGS V open world stealth itch (after Ghost Recon Wildlands and it's constantly spawning enemies failed spectacularly). I only did about an hour or so, but I can't imagine it has the range of gadgets and weapons that Phantom Pain had, and the whole thing of recruiting better staff, in order to be able to unlock new items won't be there, but it's closer than anything else I've played.

Yeah, Sniper Elite is a great series, Grin. I played through Sniper Elite 3 and thoroughly enjoyed it; the slower-paced shooting action, with a focus on stealth and planning rather than reactions, was right up my street. I dabbled with Sniper Elite 4, too, and need to get back to it.

I thought I'd play a bit of Horizon: Zero Dawn. I went to the proving, then there was a blessing ceremony, then there was the proving itself, then there was an attack, then there was a walk and talk (hate these at the best of times). All of this with no campfire to save at. I then I had to talk to the new chief and saw a campfire near him on the map! But NOOOO, before I can get to it, here's a boss fight!

I'm going to bed an hour late because of this, I'm strawberry floating exhausted :x

You don't actually have to save at camp fires. It's constantly creating checkpoints automatically.

It doesn't tell you that and in fact strongly implies that is not the case! Good to know for the future though :simper:

Good game thus far, been a while since I've got my teeth into a big open world game.

I have a few games on the go right now. I’m streaming Infernax on Tuesdays and Thursdays which is a great game so far, I’d describe it as Zelda 2 and Castlevania 2 having a baby and it grew up to be a good game. I’m part way through a co-op run of Gears 4 which is great series to get back to considering I never played past Gears 2 on 360.

Lastly I’m playing Mass Effect Legendary Edition and it’s a huge nostalgia hit. I got really into Mass Effect 1 and 2 back on 360 but never got round to beating 3 so going through the series again is great.

I’ve recruited the full party, done a boatload of side quests and I’m finally progressing the story again on Feros. I really like the rebalanced levelling system in ME1 which I believe allows you to reach the max in one playthrough rather than in NG+.

Flynn : Son of Crimson. So far...very good! It keeps building its bag of tricks and getting better.

Started Door Kickers this morning and, so far, it's brilliant.

The devs have essentially taken the planning stage of the old Rainbow Six games and made it into a full game. You can plan your SWAT members actions and give them orders in real time or while paused. It's incredibly satisfying to plan the entire mission, step by step, and hit go, watching everything play out perfectly as planned and only getting involved to give the 'Alpha go' style orders as your forces take positions behind doors and entry points. There are individual levels with varying challenges and campaign style levels with optional Ironman saving and simple stories.

It's really good and it's only £3ish in the Steam sale.

Got Flynn Son Crimson done and I'm playing Far Cry 5 now. This hasn't grabbed me yet but it's okay.

I weirdly miss climbing the big towers.

Have given up on Tunic, probably an hour or two from the end, just really wasn’t enjoying it which was a slight shame.

On the Xbox I’m pretty much just playing F1 22, really enjoying it as well despite some flaws.

On the Switch it’s going to a mix of Pokémon Legends Arceus and then Knights of the Old Republic, not in a rush to finish either (again) but it’d be good to have KOTOR done by the time Xenoblde Chronicles 3 comes out in a few weeks.
