Working through Super Mario 64 on 3-D All-Stars for the Switch.
It hasn't aged well for me. Tiny, Huge Island can do one! And Tick Tock Clock is too brown.

Still pushing through with Control on PC at the moment, it's still a game that leaves me incredibly conflicted.
At times it's fantastic to play, the fights can be incredible with debris flying everywhere and the enemies presenting challenges that require you to mix up your powers to great effect. But a few minutes later you can find yourself in a tedious battle where the only viable tactics are to sit behind a pillar and slowly chuck stuff at your foe whose gooseberry fool AI makes them incapable to pathfinding a way to hurt you but if you step out to engage in "open combat" will rip you into pieces within seconds.
I've checked a guide and I'm just over halfway through at this point, hoping the back half of the game is more consistently strong otherwise I can see me not making it to the end which is a shame because many things about this have been well put together.

My feelings towards it are pretty much the same as yours, Jenuall. I just finished chapter 7 and I'm currently working my way through a big list of side quests before pushing the story forward but the bad may be beginning to outweigh the good, unfortunately.
When it works, it's great. But when it doesn't work, it's really frustrating. The amount of times I've died or failed a Bureau Alert because an enemy has spawned behind me and I've run into them has been infuriating.
I still really like it but the fact I've made a point of avoiding the DLC areas isn't a great endorsement.

I really want to like it, the opening setup was well done and the setting is really appealing to me, but it just keeps chipping away at my goodwill without doing enough to restore it as I progress.

Took a break from Sherlock Holmes to play some Monster Hunter World. After being bombarded with vast amounts of text, icons, explanations and introductions to random NPC's I'm starting to get the gist of the game: craft gear > kill monsters > get materials for more gear. Looks nice on PS5 too.
The talk of Control makes me want to go back and play some more. The gameplay loop was satisfying, impressive graphics and I liked how they'd intertwined real footage into the narrative. At the same time I'd echo the comments here about the side and timed quests being an absolute pain, and to me the story wasn't particularly compelling, even though it felt like it should have been.

Yep. I think alot of us are in agreement. There is a strange moment later on where a heavy rock tune kicks in, it’s brilliant..... it makes you wonder where this is for other parts of the game.
There are some great ideas, but there is some dross in there. I’ll probably finish it tonight.

I just got to this bit. And it was amazing but now I'm stuck in a room that has glitched out and made it impossible for me to reach the next room.
I've strawberry floating had it.

Just had to restart the game and the whole section after confirming that it was a glitch.
Kind of ruined what would've been the best part of the game
