Ooh, interested to hear how you get on, as I was considering getting Dragon's Crown myself. I loved Muramasa, so this (and Odin Sphere) have been on my wishlist for a while.

It’s in the current PSN sale at 7 quid odd I think, down from about £25 so the price was right for me to give it a shot.

Still playing The Outer Worlds a couple of hours a day and it's still not really grabbing me. It just feels like Fallout 3 in space.

Now that doesn't sound bad on paper but it just feels like I'm playing a game from a decade ago, rather than a game that released little over a year ago.

I'm enjoying it but it just feels old and difficult to get hooked on.

Same for me. I dropped it without any guilt when i saw the "to do list" of quests (that were blending into one another) building up in the HUD. A real dissapointment for me.

It's a lot more contained than something like Fallout 3, in both the self-contained areas rather than an open-world and being much more story driven. I don't think the open quests spiral anywhere near as much as they can in Fallout 3, to keep using that point of comparison.

It's probably at its best with its companion quests if you want to give anything priority, although most quests fall into place as you progress the main story anyway with not that much jumping around off course between locations.

I really enjoyed The Outer Worlds, it scratched a certain itch that nothing else seemed to be reaching at the time.

Although it's probably telling that I still haven't gone back to try the DLC at all yet.

In the last area of FF7 now
I got my ass kicked because every basic enemy has an insta death move and I only gave cloud immunity to that
This is a massive difficultly curve even compared to like the shrina raid before it

What's it like? I have it in my Steam library but am yet to get around to it.

It's not bad at all, the storyline is really intriguing so far, it's basically a murder mystery story in a futuristic dystopia. Combat is kinda like a turn based strategy thing, it's pretty basic so far, but it's not terrible.

Mate bought me three of these Shadowrun games for Christmas years back. Only getting around to trying them now.

Been putting more hours in and I'm doing well. I decided to use Big Surf Island as a training ground of sorts; I was able to eventually find all the jumps, smashes and billboards, after which I did the road rules and showtimes for each street. The only thing I haven't done is the freeburn stuff as I don't have online.

Now I'm trying to replicate that across Paradise City, starting with the billboards, of which I have 92/120 so far.

Managed to find all the billboards and finished off the smashes tonight. I should probably get on with actually doing some of the events now that I've found all of those as well.

Still got plenty of jumps to find and haven't done any of the showtime challenges or timed road rules.

Now done all the times road rules, just the showtimes and jumps left along with the rest of the main game.

After a LOT of searching I finally found all the super jumps and grinded through the showtimes. Also got my Burnout license. 70 events, 11 awards and 8 cars remain until I reach 100%.

I started Dragons Crown today on PS5. I have previous played it at launch on vita. Comedy shaped women and dragons, it all looks lovely but is rather slow to play compared to Streets of Rage 4. I wanted to play as the wizard but it was too difficult so I've chosen the knight and he is easier to play but a bit duller. It's a good game and the presentation of the story is excellent with voice over adding a lot.

I also played it on Vita but couldn't really get in to it. It was a few years ago now, and i cant rmeember what it was that put me off. It was either a bit too grindy or there was some really tricky boss fight. Looked nice though (in a Vanillaware kind of way).

I'm really getting into The Outer Worlds now but surprised to see that, according to howlongtobeat, I'm already over halfway through it

It still feels like an RPG from a different era and brings nothing new to the table but I've made peace with that now and am really enjoying it.

This kind of gameplay is making me so excited for Bloodlines 2 though. I enjoy the sci-fi setting in this but nothing beats the atmosphere of something like Vampire.

I was undecided what to play the other night, so I randomly put a load of games in a box and randomly picked one out and played it.
The game was Rayman Legends, fantastic game and it's a decent Switch port even if I'm not keen on the Murphy levels. Surprised we haven't had a new Rayman game for so long.

Michael Ancel, the creator, quit the game industry last September so I'm not sure what they'll do with Rayman now.

Thank strawberry float for WindJammers! I still have Control DLC and Concrete Genie to try. Also WipeOut Omega Collection and Little Nightmares seemed to hold my interest too, so it hasn't been all bad :slol:

Destruction All-Stars.

Put a decent amount of hours in so far and it's very enjoyable, but I'm concerned about the lack of modes/arenas at the moment; burnout could develop quickly, much like Fall Guys. For the time being though, the constant momentum and ease of transitioning from vehicle to on-foot parkour feels great - especially when it comes full circle as you leap into another readily available vehicle, with a similar kind of flow to Titanfall's multiplayer.

Not overly keen on some of the characters (Xander is obnoxious as strawberry float) and I've encountered a fair amount of (what I assume to be) rage-quits which leave those left behind gooseberry fool out of luck, although none of it has managed to rain on my parade...yet.

Nioh 2 - remastered version - PS5 - I've purposely left that last bit of dlc until the PS5 release. I'm playing on normal difficulty and I'm level 340 I think when the recommendation for the level is 150. So it's a lot easier. Overall I enjoy the new enemies and setting but the levels as always are far too large. So easy to get lost and a lot of levels just blend into the background.

Neo Geo era sports games are just too good. I haven't touched a FIFA game since FIFA 98 but I can spend hours playing Super Sidekicks!
