Child Aloy is an abomination, but overall I think the model work is decent enough in the game - it's the cutscene and general facial animation that's the problem, everything is very robotic and stilted.

They improve on it quite a bit in the DLC so I'm hopeful that Forbidden West will put the problem to rest for good!

HZD is a very fun game though, it has a few quirks and shortcomings but overall I really enjoyed it

MX vs. ATV Reflex
Enjoying this the more I play it. Having to be aware of the positioning of your driver and the weight distribution of them on the bikes and ATVs took some getting used to at first, but it becomes quite intuitive the more you play it, and it adds a nice dimension to how the game plays. The racing itself is pretty good, so it's a shame that the stuff around it - menus, soundtrack, etc - are so awful.

Sniper Elite V2
This is the first game in this series that I'm playing. I quite like the format of each mission, and the sniping is quite enjoyable. There's not a whole lot to it, but it's fun for what it is. The close-quarters combat is a bit crap though.

I felt uncomfortable when that model popped up again in a flashback after the proving.

Yeah. It wouldnt normally be such a big detractor for me but this game acts like its proud of the model work and zooms in on the faces constantly.

Half Life 2

17 years on and I'm still in awe whenever I play this game. It's just so engaging and perfectly crafted and there's nothing else like it.

Guardians of the Galaxy - JFC. The dialogue in this is some of the most pointless and humourless drivel I have ever forced myself to sit through. It's so bad I am getting DMC 5 flashbacks :cry:

There's one well plotted, written and acted segment when the crew are nabbed by the space filth, but other than that it's all been crap so far. Oh and, the gameplay has also been a big load of meh so far.

Finally got back on with Super Mario Galaxy after finishing Metroid Dread, didn’t realise you only needed 65 stars to see the credits on this one, obviously I’m not stopping just yet as I’ve still got a lot of stars left to collect to unlock Luigi.

At the end of Tokyo Jungle.

Didn’t like it first, found it stupidly difficult. Restarted & gave it a chance, survival mode is repetitive & tedious. Story mode was the games saving Grace until this last mission. It’s your usual cheap shitty not well thought out final boss.

There’s a robot dog. She is a little bitch. She’s got a load of attacks, featuring: shiny disco laser balls (Ooooo), death ray lasers, a case of the zoomies & your generic useless game dev brains dead idea of having 118 118 dial up a bad doggos (get rid of about 50 & another 50 show up :roll:

whilst your trying to smack the bitch up).

I legit liked the story mode once it got going but way to ruin your game. You melters.

Just had a quick go on Golf Club Wasteland; Its brilliant although I have a feeling it'll be a case of playing it through to the end once and never touching it again so I'll be taking my time with it as the atmosphere and setting are excellent.

I've narrowed the list down...

No Man's Sky
Death Stranding
Fallout 3
Fallout 4
Skyrim
Zelda BotW
All the Dynasty Warriors
Lots of other games which I see someone mention and then decide that I want to play

After playing Metroid Dread, I was in the mood for some more Metroidvania, so I grabbed a £5 Steam key for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

I don't have much experience with Castlevania games, but I'm really enjoying this! A fiver well spent!

I have to play it myself yet, but I'd go Sniper Elite 4 if you're looking something you can finish relatively quickly. The rest all require a good chunk of time to be set aside.

Well, so what is in your mind about the right thing to play, genre wise?

EG, are you still playing F76 and just need a palate cleanser, or have you moved on and want another story driven / time sink type game?

I don't think you can have two of those games going concurrently and really enjoy both.

It's fine I guess. It's the second time I've tried to get into it though, and I'm still struggling. It's just not grabbing me for some reason. Will try and keep going and see if something clicks.
