I paid £27 to pre-order the GoG version which also included the entire CDPR back catalog, including Witcher 3 GotY edition, because I cheated and went via a VPN to Russia for mega discounts.

Well yeah I assumed you'd get less quest rewards if you walked away

Holy moly - point of no return already.
The main quest is rather short!
Will do side stuff for a bit.

Installed this again last night to give it another crack, largely because it has been vexing me that it's still on my incomplete list and I'm trying to get my backlog under control.

Somehow it seems that the state of the game has gotten even worse than it was when I was playing at the end of last year. :fp:

I had multiple instances of just falling through the world into the endless void which had never happened before now, enemies routinely ignored me even when I was stood directly in front of them shooting them in the face, character animation was all over the place in cutscenes with people I was talking to snapping between positions and animations with no consistency or flow, and multiple quest specific scanning :?: icons simply failed to operate which made it impossible for me to continue with the main mission I was on.

Piece of gooseberry fool.

Mad that it took this long to strawberry floating zoom out the map.

Reinstalled it to see if they've fixed the Sandra mission yet. No. Still nothing.

So on Series X they got rid of the weird grain effect on LOD, even at 60fps so honestly… I’m kinda liking this again.

Edit: nope grain effect still there on wet roads. :x

Played a few more hours of this during the week (slowly approaching 50 hours total) and I've enjoyed it quite a bit. Been trying to mop up as many of the side missions as possible before progressing the main story and its just fun to zoom about the map, whip out my shotgun or katana and completely clean house.

Has played flawlessly on Stadia too, seems to be a very stable version. Looks great too.

Resumed playing this on my XSX and it really does look beautiful. No real idea where I am in the story as it’s been a while since I played it but I’m 25hrs in apparently with Street cred level 22 and overall level 14 so guess a far chunk in?

V has just met the Voodoo Boys and is clearing out the deserted shopping mall (GIM?)

You're quite far into the main story, it's pretty short if you ignore side stuff

Don't see an issue with this, It's not ready they're listening and they're holding it back. They're damned if they do, damned if they don't at the moment.

In fairness it took Rockstar well over a year to get the next gen GTA V out, and that was without they original 360/PS3 versions being a mess, and not during a pandemic.

Yeah, I feel that way. If the game isn't ready then I'd rather it was delayed than released; both this and The Witcher 3. Sure, it's a little frustrating, but CDPR can't afford another public relations fall after the issues with the original Cyberpunk release.

It wouldn’t surprise me if CD Project Red try and use the next gen update for Cyberpunk 2077 as a way to try and relaunch the game, I doubt it’d work but after the reception the first time round they probably think it’s worth trying to some degree? With the reception beforehand it’s pointless rushing it anyway. Either way, I’ll definitely be trying this out finally when the patch comes out!
