Looks amazing but I am going to hold off and play it on PS5 once the next gen patch comes out.

Did I hear right? I think Keighley said he played it on streaming PC, likely meaning Stadia, because he was talking about the slight lacknof responsiveness of the shooting.

The previews were done over GeForce Now apparently.

Yeah, the Verge said it was on GeForce Now as they couldn't have an inperson event.

If RDR2 is anything to go by, this is going to look gooseberry fool on Stadia, if it ever even releases.

Looks absolutely phenomenal, can't wait to inhabit the world they've built and I honestly can't think of a better way to kickstart next-gen. Sure, it'll be on current gen platforms as well, but I feel like playing this on anything less than the X and Pro might be doing a disservice to the game and its overall scope.

GeoForce! - It looked so good! So maybe using top spec PC servers, I wonder how the X and Pro compare to that. I was thinking I would wait for the next-gen patch but might have to dive in as it could be the most next-gen game released in 2020. What is most alluring to me about it all is that it is appears to be a deep immersive world, perhaps the closest to the 'living breathing' terminology I've heard in the past. But, and I never realised this before, the online game could be a real alternative to GTA Online. Rockstar and Bethesda need to pull their socks up!

That looks unbelievably good doesnt it?

This is going to make me want a next gen console to experience it as best as possible.

Just pre-ordered this and got all of the Witcher games (Including GOTY edition of Witcher 3) for £27 from GoG.com (Using a VPN to connect to Russia :shifty: )
It was that Ultimate Red collection they're charging £70 for on the UK store.

Looks incredible, but I'm still not convinced that it actually looks that exciting in terms of gameplay. When they showed a bit of, and talked about, the badlands, it just reminded me of the boring as strawberry float desert in GTA V.

The brain dance (or whatever its called) sections look like they could go either way. Could be a really in depth investigation mode, or it could just be another scan-everything-until-you-find-the-answer time waster.

Can someone explain the PS4/5 situation with this.

Is it just one version of the game playable on both systems with no difference until an upgrade is released next year?

At launch, the next gen versions of the game will play better than current gen versions. A proper update patch for next gen versions of the game will come later next year.

If you buy the PS4 version it will work on PS5 via backwards compatibility mode. It may look better on PS5 if Sony's in-built BC mode gives it a boost with improved frame rate and resolution.

At some point in early 2021 a patch will be released for PS5 and XSX which will take advantage of their capabilities (effectively a native version of the game.) Me speculating here, this could mean more efficient loading with the SSD, a closer to 4K resolution and more stable frame rate and native HDR.

Trailer felt tailor made to shut up the people moaning about how there isn't enough neon or footage of the city at night

I know the concept has been done a lot but I got major Strange Days vibes from the Braindance stuff, especially using a robbery as an example. I really hope there's some degree of agency required during those parts with missable information etc. As much as I love Witcher 3, the senses mode during investigations was very much a case of 'click the glowy bits'.
