Honestly I'm not expecting anything else this early on.

I think they were still recruiting for the dev team when they announced this, so I doubt they'd have any gameplay ready to show off just yet. Still, at least it'd be something (if it was a CGI trailer). Better than these pieces of concept art. :slol:

All that effort on that :( when will companies realise this annoys gamers. Atleast accompany it with a small look at the gameplay

At the start I wasn't sure if I was watching a game teaser or a perfume/make-up advert.

As a cgi trailer it does look quite good, as a game trailer looks gooseberry fool.

I dont know why, but that sounds strawberry floating incredible.

I just don't see the point in them. It's like the developers are saying 'here's a trailer of exactly how the game won't play'

I think the idea is more to show off the premise than the game itself.

Clearly from the line at the end saying "Coming: when it's ready" shows that gameplay probably looks shonky as hell at the minute, but they still want to drum up excitement for the game while also dispelling rumours of it being stuck in development hell since it's been a while since we last heard about it. So, you know, ultra stylised CGI trailer that gives you a look at the themes present in the game.

As long as it has the same level as graphical fidelity as Witcher 2, in a cyberpunk universe. I will be happy.

The thing that has always bothered me with Witcher 2 and most modern PC rpg's, is honestly, swords, magic, mosters and spells do not push my buttons at all. I know there's a gooseberry fool tonne of depth in these games. But I'm never invested or care about the world and people in it.

This on the other hand, could be the most awesome strawberry floating game ever. Judging by the art direction so far, I'm hoping it will live up to the hype. I have alot of faith in CD projekt

There probably is no game to show at the moment, as it's so early in development.

CGI trailer was a good teaser.

Most of the big western RPG's are like that and I can't say I'm too fond of it either. I managed to get into The Witcher series and absolutely loved the second, but this Cyberpunk game could be great.

I have faith in CD Projekt.

Hmm. Looked nice I suppose, but it tells me nothing concrete about the game, and nothing I didn't already know.

Perhaps it builds hype in some people, but not me. Ah well. The wait for gameplay screens/footage continues.

So, interpreting the trailer, it seems like the first party is actually just a dream or a fantasy being had by the police woman? That's the only way I can make sense of it.

This sort of makes up for my disappointment about there not being another Deus Ex announced yet. After Human Revolution was such an unexpected success I would have thought we'd see more in that vain, but at least CD Projekt is addressing our cyberpunk cravings.

I reckon we'll see the Witcher 3 long before this.

Aparently not.

“The teaser shows how the Psycho Squad might acquire a new member. The Psycho Squad specializes in combating ‘psychos’ – individuals who overuse implants and substances that boost or otherwise alter the human body. There comes a point when they overdose on these innovations, and their bodies start to rebel against their biological body parts as well as all things organic around them. Simply put, they start killing people, who they now derisively call ‘meatbags.’”

And there may be a Witcher 3 announcement next month.

These kinds of things are dual purpose. They're as much to establish the tone of the game internally for the developers as they are marketing material.
