Q1 CDPR sales call with investors happening now

twitter.com/PaulTassi/status/1399421559379566599

Expansions pushed back to 2022, timeline made even more vague.

(I would bet money either the expansions are eventually cancelled or there's only one of the originally planned 2 released)

twitter.com/stephentotilo/status/1399420972281831424

Not coming back to PlayStation any time soon (I can see a return to PS consoles coinciding with the new-gen update at the end of this year)

What a disaster this continues to be.

Has anyone played the game on the base-model PS4? Wondering how the crashes & framerate issues are after the patches.

Cyberpunk is inexpensive right now (£23) & I love cyberpunk fiction like Neuromancer though I've not read Mike Pondsmith's works.

Digital Foundry have done videos on the performance of each patch as they've come along. Here's the 1.2 patch video:

Please be aware this game is 100% not actual cyberpunk. It uses it as an aesthetic, nothing more.

Thanks for the info - I'll give it a miss for now, 20-30fps with crashes is disappointing 6 months after launch.

So stuff from that internal leak is starting to show up.

https://www.reddit.com/r/GamingLeaksAnd ... ent=header

There's a bunch of gag videos the QA team made that look like they were to be released as blooper reels but weren't for... obvious reasons.

Most interesting is this (alternate source as the original was taken down) - the original 2013 third person version of the game

EDIT: Apparently the blooper reels were tweeted out, then hastily deleted, by a dev and didn't come from the ransomware leak.

The constant sound effect of what seems to be someone brushing their teeth is already better than anything in the final 2077

For me, a 3rd person perspective and a constant tooth brush sound would have made this an essential pick up.

Top tip, if you put your electric tooth brush on charge, you can let it play constantly in the background while you player Cyberpunk, hope that helps

I like that they went for a first person perspective for the final game, it's how I imagined they would do it in the first place and the style I prefer for these kinds of experiences.

But at the same time it clearly caused them huge problems and was something they were far less familiar with. If they'd stuck to 3rd person and not wasted time on the switch to something new for the team there's a chance they'd have had more time to actually make the game good.

Its a start, but it still wont be 3rd person. Obviously the tooth brushing is the more important part, but it would be nice to have both.

Also, i was really after the "teeth being brushed" sound, not an idling tooth brush. This means i also have to budget for a pair of false teeth and some sort of fixture. Again, more than happy to do this, but it really needs to be in 3rd person or i'm going to look like a maniac.

Nope. CDPR revealed in their latest investor call that there're certain milestones that need to be met and...they haven't met them yet. Probably related to performance issues with the PS4 version.

They needed to cut last gen support on this. They wanted all that money tho...

If it never gets relisted on the PS4 store (and that doesn't sound too unlikely honestly), I wonder if the physical PS4 version will end up being worth the most as a collector's item. Especially as you can experience the state of the unpatched game as it was on release if you play it offline.

Now I have a lovely PC, I'm really tempted to pick this up. Although I might replay The Witcher 3 instead and hope it's actually been fixed by then.
