Think I'm coming to the end of this now, so going to mess around and polish off side quests. ( Still can't do the sandra mission because she's 250m underground ) :x

Very much feel like I'm going through the motions on this now. For every good thing the game does it seems to undercut it with a bad one or at least has some bug or gameplay issue that diminishes it.

I've actually come away completely. I want to wait and see what sort of fixes the January patches hold, and I might then go back and finish it.

In fact, one of my problems with the game as a whole is its over reliance on pop culture references. Every strawberry floating mission title is a reference to a song or movie, and the side gig texts are littered with the stuff. It adds nothing and just feels super cheap.

I know this has been answered for you but my non spoilery take is I think it's pretty much bobbins and highlights how little your choices matter throughout the game.

Mild non story spoilers where I roughly describe the mechanics of the end game:

It very obviously asks you to "pick which of these three final missions you want to do" (choice will be reduced if you haven't done enough side missions) and the one I chose had a very obvious "press button A for this ending, press button B for that ending"

Would have been much cooler if they had hidden the mechanics a bit, I think. Ushering you into one of those missions via a more subtle approach.

On the endings. I’ve been through and played most of them (fundamentally 3 of them, and there is further variation (a or b) within 2 of those endings) and there is overlap but some reasonable differences.

I agree there is little choice that effects these but there is a decent link to the story and characters from each. I did enjoy these sequences. I guess I wasn’t completely satisfied with any ending, but I’ll say no more as it’s too spoilery.

I've genuinely had one major bug happen to me in 60 hours of game time and I sorted that by dropping down to 1080p.
Had the odd stuck in aim animation, but all that needs is a quick reload.

Yeah, my game refund came through from Sony yesterday. Well, partly; my store credit had £45 in it and I guess the remaining £5 is on the way to my bank card. The game was locked on my PS4 so I deleted it and gained 101 Gb space back.

Hee! I would consider getting the game again if CDPR improve performance and stamp out the bugs on the PS4 Pro version. It's gonna be interesting to see how much time and effort they dedicate to enhancing the game for the older consoles.

Played another hour or so last night before bed and its just a blast doing all the side gigs and tarot hologram collecting, I very infrequently dip my toe in the main storyline as there's just so much content to distract me. I know the criticisms of the city being quite shallow are valid, but it doesn't actually impact how I play the game at all.

I also love the police cars, I nick one and go for a joyride as often as I can, they're so chunky and cool :datass:

I just don't find the driving any fun in this, at all. The handling is awful and the physics for collisions and the like just doesn't work so there's no challenge or reward there

I got my refund. It was just added back to my psn account. No email or notification. So if you're awaiting a refund probably worth checking your PlayStation Store balance.

Wish my image sig would work

I finished the game the other day, I got what I think is the bad ending. But nevertheless I enjoyed the ending moments, I'm going to get the other endings, wonder if the missions will be that different.

Played it for the first time tonight rescued he woman early on and went home. It seems fairly decent although I guess I'm still really near the beginning.

Got the platinum tonight. About 100 hours spent on it.
All the different endings are so much more unique than previous CD games. I made a save before the point of no return to check them all out.
strawberry floating loved playing it. What a city. Some brilliant side-missions.
I think I’ll keep hold of the disc and see what the next-gen upgrade does.

Angry Joe had posted his video review... and it's a long one! (no context).

Seems pretty fair to me; he talks about the bugs and issues but highlights the good aspects, too. Final assessment (based on current patches) is [4] on consoles and [6] on PC. Like most of us, he says he's hoping that further updates are made as there is potential for a much-improved game.

Even though I went for a refund I would like to try the game again once it has had a bit more development/improvement time.
