I don't know that but Panam was getting VERY flirty...when we were alone during a sand storm after a particular quest but she just a tease I guess.

You can't date River as a dude either apparently.

Yen can do one, she treated Geralt like gooseberry fool #teamtriss!

Still no one near Yen or Triss yet though :datass: Does someone resembling Ciri actually make an appearance in this by the way? Obviously in TW3 Ciri mentions a universe that could have easily been Night City.

Ciri doesn't make an appearance other than a magazine advertising the Witcher 3 game in the corpo life path intro.

I feel like I remember reading somewhere that there were either licensing issues or the lead designer wasn't a big fan of the idea so it got cut?

Ah I started as a Nomad so didn’t see that, just thought I’d ask, thanks.

Didn’t know that’s guess she’d have just rebuffed my V then

Panam is great. But I was all over Judy. I think I managed both though…

So I pretty much forgot about the Ripperdocs and now, 25 hours in, I finally have things like double jump and increased health.

One thing I will say about this game, the tech tree is awful. All just incremental increases to certain types of damage output or resistances. Absolutely nothing exciting in there or anything to set your sights on.

Also Panam just called asking for more help. Going to go help out Judy first but I'm going to play it cool. Not gonna simp.

Except for story reasons I’ve not even thought about visiting a ripperdoc  What do they actually do? I’m yet to find an actual place to buy decent armour/weapons too, most of the stuff I’m using I’ve found.

I find most of the perk tree overly crowded, there’s that many different skills/perks to invest in that it’d be easy to try and be a jack of all trades and end up nowhere near a master of any

The docs have access to my mods that can give you a variety of upgrades from double jumps to arm blades and everything in between.

Should probably spend a bit of my money on some then

This game feels like a mixed bag, the further I’m getting into the main quest line, I’m enjoying it a lot, there’s some really good characters you meet along the way, the story itself seems to be developing quite nicely too. But on the other hand I still don’t find the world fun to explore, locked doors are everywhere, the levelling up system seems too bloated, the few times I’ve actually gone into the map to look for something and it just looks a bit messy (guess that’s the problem with a game set more or less entirely in a city though with its map design). Running around as a sword wielding maniac is good fun though  The upgrade system is easy to do so far at least, found myself a couple of rare items (one Katana and a Pistol) that I’m just upgrading at the moment when I can as I quite enjoy using them.

I’ve just done a part of the main quest where I’ve played as Johnny, no idea how far that is through the main quest line, just nearing 17 hours of playtime.

Edit, I’ve had a look and I’m about halfway through the main quest, I’d be quite happy if the rest of the main quest took me to around the 30 hour mark, also just been to see a Ripperdoc and they are not cheap are they

Just starting the last mission on this, last few hours have been really good, whatever ending I get I don’t see myself going back to get the other options but what I’ve played (probably about 30 hours by the times the credits roll) I’ve really enjoyed, if they release any story DLC I’d be tempted but definitely not going to be going back to pour the hours into side quests.

Edit, the last mission is a bit crap, I’ve got to kill 4 guards but I’m just getting one shorted constantly before I can even get near them, obviously no checkpoint or ability to manually save either.

Edit 2, another go and I’m putting it down to easy to see if that helps  Easy difficultly makes the combat stupidly easy! Everything going down in a few swings of my katana :datass:

Done. Will read up on the various endings but I ended up getting the standard one I think? As I didn’t really focus on the side quests/content. Hanako ending and returning to Earth after refusing to sign myself up to Mikoshi

All in all a very enjoyable game, absolutely lovely to look at, enjoyable main quest with some very good characters but not without its flaws. Nice in the credits to have messages from various key side characters too.

Edit, Looking it up there is a load of endings

I’ve been playing loads of this on PS5 and I absolutely love it. It runs and looks like an absolute dream, very very few glitches. Frankly just a really great game. The skill trees are a bit of a waste, save a few pretty crucial upgrades, but I’m loving the gameplay loop. Story is good too, that I’m just completely ignoring to do all of the side jobs and gigs. I’m OP as hell but that’s the beauty of it - put the work in, and you’re a monster.
The city and map in general is just incredible. I never drive around the city, just walk around soaking it all in, especially when you look up and around proper at the geography. Amazing.

Imagine my horror when I logged into this after a few months and find that my character has been reset and all of my progress wiped :dread:

Imagine my relief when I remembered that I'd started a new game to try a different playstyle  :fp:

Preezy wrote:I still dip into this on Stadia from time to time to just enjoy the world and do side missions and it really is a lot of fun, but I cant proceed with the main storyline as it's glitched the start of a mission where I need to go and visit a butcher. I walk into the butcher's shop and... there's no one there. Empty room with no-one to talk to or trigger, so looks like that's all she wrote :fp:

Seems that this quest blocker has been fixed, so I can now continue my original save :toot:

Really looking forward to diving back into this.

Poured another 15 or so hours into this since my last post and I've been mopping up every last side job that I can before progressing the main quest.

All NCPD jobs done - so much death
All side gigs complete
All apartments purchased
All cars/bikes purchased
All tarot paintings found

I've found that doing all those side things has shown me far more of the city and surrounding area than I would probably have seen just doing main quests, lots of cool places to see :toot:
