It's truly incredible, I try to take my time walking around everywhere because it's such a great world to take in. Being in first person really helps, and also zipping around in a vehicle all the time would cause you to miss so much. I've not even explored the city or outskirts really, I've just looked around where missions have taken me or where something has caught my eye.

As for photography, I dabble with my dslr every now and then, but it's probably more an eye for compostion due to being a grapgic designer. That plus it being such a great and dense game that it's quite hard to take a really bad image.

I should try and get back into this. I put about 20 hours into it at release but, as much as I think people exaggerated how big the problems were, it didn't grab me. Might as well see what a bit of spit and polish has done.

In all seriousness, i'm really enjoying reading your thoughts on CP2077, and it's inspiring me to play it again.

I also took about 70 photos during my playthrough, and they always look great (to me) when I review them from time to time.

I’ve been replaying on steam deck. Had to turn graphics to low to get 60fps. Looks a bit arse but runs well, and I have to remind myself it’s running on a handheld! When I think back to how my mind was blown with liberty city stories on psp, it’s unbelievable to have such a detailed and large AAA game on the go.

Looks like Phantom Liberty should be open at this point in your game if you want to buy it.

I'm 37 hours in and that's the first time I've been outside the city  I didn't even realise that kind of area was in the game. Once I've finished this mission with Panam I'm going to have a look around that bit and see what's about.

Oh for a fallout game that looks like this :datass:

I'm about 40 hours in so what I said about being a couple of hours ahead was bang on

1 of the first things I did when I got decent bike was drive outside the city and explore

Just finishing BG3 tonight. Think I'll play Vampire: Swansong next but then I reckon it's time for Phantom Liberty :datass:

Out of interest, what’s the highest graphical setting you can set it to on Deck but keep a minimum solid 30fps?

Doesn't the game have a built in Deck preset configuration now?

You can google best settings, a lot of people feel the default deck settings aren’t stable. I dropped almost everything to low but gives me close to 60fps (dips when driving) if I want it looking pretty I’ll play on my gaming PC. As Ive gotten older frame rate has definitely trumped resolution as being the most important thing. Even on lowest settings it’s not an ugly game (textures are pretty poor though) and given the combat I felt a better frame rate was worth it. Put 40hrs in on steam deck and it’s been an enjoyable experience.

I’ve seen people on YouTube playing it on high settings and they seem to be hitting 30fps almost consistently, might be the route I go once I pick it up.
