As a graduate in a skilled position, it does feel she was being underpaid at that rate. For comparison, in the UK average graduate salary is 60% above minimum wage.

Obviously there are a lot of factors that can influence the salary but the fact that she moved quickly for more money despite being a huge fan suggests they were underpaying against the market.

Minimum wage is a mostly meaningless legal number. Living wage is what should be compared to. If you can't afford rent it's presumably not a living wage (not knowing factors like if the rent was average or whatever). That makes it a problem with either the job, the rental market, or both.

I think it reflects badly on the industry in general, not just CDPR. They presumably knew what they'd get paid when they joined so there probably wasn't a better option available, although I don't know how big the industry is there outside of CDPR.

As much as they should we can't expect CDPR to pay better if people take the jobs as they are. It needs unionisation, and people choosing to work in other industies that pay better instead (of course not everyone really has a choice what job to take, especially as their fitst, so there will be exploitation and it's not fair to just blame people for taking those jobs at that pay. That's why colkective bargaining is needed)

Yea, seems reasonable.

As ORKN said, pinning down exactly what constitutes a good wage in any context is hard. But I do think that converting your wage into USD when you don’t live in the US is a cheap trick because you know that most people reading it will just assume it’s meant to be taken in reference to living in the US.

This was probably the one last thing about this game left that I was still looking forward to.

Yeah, a lot of their licenced soundtrack one offs have pretty weak beats to them, but as they never end up on the albums, it's not really a bother.

Still pondering whether I should wait for this till the full, next gen patch/version is out in the hope most of the bugs will have been fixed by that point.

Orange, they sure are, dude - PS5 discs can hold 100 Gb whilst PS4 discs can hold 50 Gb.

At least it sounds like it’ll be installing a lot off the disc then, seems a novelty in itself these days!

So there's a genuine debate on ResetEra about whether they should allow an OP for CP2077.

The admins have stickied a thread calling out all the transphobic stuff CDPR have done, and many are saying that having this exist alongside a thread promoting the game would be jarring.
