I think one of my biggest issues is that Crouch and Skip Conversation are the same button. I've lost count of the times I've been trying to crouch/stand up and ended up skipping dialogue instead

Oh god yes! That's pissed me off so much when you've stealthed into a conversation unknowingly.

I re-assigned crouch away from the skip button. The only thing it highlights is that during conversations it disables things like crouch and jump which is incredibly immersion breaking for me. I've had so many weighty, important conversations with characters where I'm basically at crotch level to them! :fp:

Finished this the other night. Must say I really enjoyed it, didn't suffer any massive issues. Will definitely have another play through at some point.

Got an email telling me that CDKeys had this in a sale, at 33% off.

33% off the original £70 RRP.

Got some hours in with this over the weekend after about a week away and just spent my time clearing lots of side gigs - haven't progressed the main story too much at all after starting act 2. I've also taken a real liking to my shiny katana, going to morph my V into a blade-wielding cyborg ninja :datass:

I've watched and read plenty about the shortcomings of the game and whilst I agree with nearly all of it, I'm still really enjoying just existing in the world and clearing areas of enemies in a blur or violence and synth music, it really does draw me in and lets me actually *role-play*. Before the katana caught my eye I was sticking with my trusty pump-action shotgun as it felt cool to have this old-school blunt trauma weapon that just devastated enemies and made me play the game at a slower pace - walking through an enemy area slowly reloading each shell after blasting gonks in the chest just makes you feel like a badass

Also, this song is a brainworm:

CDPR have been hit with a ransomware attack. "Unreleased version of Witcher 3" is interesting. They don't intend to comply, which means we might see a whole bunch of stuff released soon.

Guessing "Unreleased version of Witcher 3" is just the next gen upgrade version?

I did like this reply though:

Do you think they had a version of that statement with the yellow background drawn up before realising they needed to look a bit more serious?

I guess that is the format they use for more general CDPR stuff? This wasn't a Cyberpunk specific post so it makes sense that they didn't go with the offensive yellow stylings!

Apparently the leaked documents and details were auctioned off on The Dark Web™.
And then someone on Reddit mentions that CDPR employees are having their identities stolen, with their banks contacting them to see if they have been trying to apply for loans etc:

YP261 wrote:my friends who worked for CDPR told me almost everyone at CDPR are making new IDs because their original ones are compromised already and they are getting calls from banks in Poland that there are unauthorised accesses to their data.

my friend also tweeted about it, it's in polish tho
the worst part about it is that everyone knows about it from 3rd parties, not from CDPR alone.

I don't see a problem here.
Do you not also crouch down and stare people directly in the crotch when meeting them for the first time?
It's a standard English greeting ritual, isn't it?

How else can you work out if someone is worth getting to know if you haven't fully inspected their crotch at length :? .

Rightyho... I've finally taken the plunge on this now. £15 off on stadia was the biting point.

They really throw a lot of info at you in a short time huh.

I've only just don't about two hours of the game so far, so only just rescued the boob lady from the ice bath with Jackie, and went home to sleep.

I'm annoyed at a few things:
  • Turning/aiming left and right feels like a dog gooseberry fool. Feels so unresponsive. I've tried upping the horizontal sensitivity, and that kind of helped.
  • Probably related to the above, but steering is gooseberry fool.
Started nomad and ended up accidentally running over several people between the radio tower and the meeting point with "the client". Ended up with three wanted stars, and that dickhead sheriff shooting at me
  • I wanted to play that montage, it looked fun.
Made no sense to show V and Jackie annihilating gang members and gooseberry fool in the montage and then follow it up with a "lol, here's a training module to teach you how to shoot gun pmsl", like, V was doing all kinds of John Wick gooseberry fool only a few minutes previously.

Hoping to get past the barrage of information and settle into the game this evening though :)

I haven't played this in about a month on my XSX. Have the various issues largely been patched out now?

The steering is just pretty gooseberry fool in general unfortunately. I found that switching to the third person view for vehicles helped make it a bit easier to steer, but not much.
