I'm saying that they need to do better.

One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

no worries bbz. x

In all honesty though it sounds like you have been the victim of "bantz" which I believe will soon be a crime punishable by death so they'll get what's coming to them!

How are those that commute by bike getting on at the moment?

The journey after my 2 week Christmas break was a total slog, really really tough going and it being pitch black on the way back (most of the route has zero lighting) makes it really hard to keep any motivation to push on.

But the cold, of strawberry floating hell the cold :dread: I've taken to wearing 2 pairs of gloves and a hat under my crash helmet because one morning when it was pretty frosty the wind chill gave me a splitting headache from the off, and my fingers were burning to the point I had tears in my eyes when I stopped, almost what I'd imagine frostbite feels like. Horrible.

Yesterday was a little slippy on the corners so I slowed right down and the back of the bike was still loose, but this morning the pavement and most of the road is white with frost so strawberry float that  I can get up to about 30mph on the downhill bit on the way in and even going slowly I can fully see me falling off under braking.

Ad7 these gloves are decent for the colder months.

As for the other bits try warming up before you get out.

Thanks, looks like the sort of thing I need, but are they not a bit thick for feeling the gears and brakes?

Brakes should be fine but gears could be an issue.

They looks very warm, but looks massively impractical for riding.

strawberry float cycling at this time of year. I got caught in freezing rain a couple months back and for a forty-minute cycle that’s strawberry floating horrible.

Tbh if you're riding a road bike (dropped bars) or non gears these will fine but other bikes the gears will be a pain.

strawberry float this weather at the moment. Last week I was riding home in a t-shirt and shorts, getting home in daylight and actually enjoying the ride home despite the effort. This week so far I've had rain in the mornings, HAIL on the way back Monday, shitting down yesterday afternoon with strong wind, getting home in the semi dark again and now this morning it's tipping down again, meaning I'm going to drive.

Just hurry up and be at least dry again ffs, i don't care if it's cold but the rain is horrible to ride in.

Rain is a nightmare to cycle in true, doubly so if there is a strong headwind - yay, I'm getting wet and going strawberry floating nowhere at the same time!

Decent wet weather gear does help, once I got myself a really good set of breathable waterproofs and some overshoes to keep my feet dry I didn't hate the wet weather quite so much.

Head winds can indeed strawberry float off. On the last stretch to work this morning I had loads of speed turning in to the road and it was directly in to the wind, which was like slamming the brakes on. The effort required to carry on at any sort of speed :dread:
