My commute was about 30 mins each way so an hours cycling each day and I'd say I got about 3 days out of it - there are three levels of brightness so it will vary depending on how you have it set up, I found the lowest level sufficient most of the time. I had a charger at work in case I needed to charge it up during the day, as well as a "backup" set of cheaper lights that I kept with me for emergencies as well but I found once I was on a good schedule for charging the main light every few nights at home then I was usually fine.

I haven't got the back light that comes with that one from amazon so I couldn't say how long that lasts.

One thing it's worth remembering is that if you want batteries on lights to hold up long term then you really need to disconnect and bring them in doors overnight, particularly during winter.

Yeah Aldi are always a good shout for cycling gear, I've picked up some good stuff from them over the years.

Cycled into work for the second time this season (my seasons are spring and autumn with intermittent winter - strawberry float summer). I can already feel my once tender gooch being less susceptible to the brute that is my seat. I wear padded shorts but it still feels like I've spent a night in prison for the first few cycles.

Started cycling to work again after my little accident (fractured my ribs). Bought a set of handmade Perfect 10 handlebars. Better control and not so hunched over as they have taken me from an 8.5 rise to a 10.

Cycled up Leith Hill earlier today. And back down. Then back up again because my car was on the other side.

If anyone mountain bikes and lives in the South East then this place is definitely recommended. The approach to the car parks if you choose to drive is beautiful from all directions and the downhill course they've set-up is enjoyable for all levels.

There's a Tower and cafe at the top and it does the best Flapjack I've ever eaten. Would give a toe, possibly even a finger for the recipe.

Here's one of the views from the top, the other direction has the better view over the South downs but the fog was too much this morning.

I'm 5'8 and pointlessly rider a 29er.

Done some riding over Surrey hills last year should really get over there more as I live about 20 miles away. Some great single-track trails did you get to do to many.

( Im pretty sure the trail the otherside of the tower is summer lightening)

He's probably got a fruit bowl situation going on and he misheard them, when in fact they spoke in the plural not the singular.

Wow, what a bunch of comedians. I cycled to work everyday for about 10 years and never got any comments like that!

Maybe it's nothing to do with the cycling and people just don't like you generally? ;)
