That sounds pretty neat. I was a bit poorly in March and had to go for an eye check at Specsavers; they didn't test my sight but used a few machines to look behind and around the eyes. Amazing tech!

I'm not so keen on these places where you just send off the details; I like to try on different glasses and get them adjusted so that they're comfortable.

Do you work as an "eye guy", dude?

Thank you for doing this job. My Mum used to require those tests every year and I always remember it being super important so thank you for your service!

I've taken to wearing a pair of glasses (found them on a wall) now which make everything that distance away crystal clear, although everything else is a blur.
Share your ocular issues here.

Get a prescription - as soon as you start wearing glasses your eyesight atrophies more quickly.

If you're wearing any old glasses you may well be accelerating your ocular decrepitude.

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.

I got Lazer eyes in 2015. One of the best investments I ever made. Improved my quality of life and self confidence massively

Before that I was a blind -5 on each eye with an astigmatism.

I must have misread the prescription. Maybe I need glasses.

I am suppose to wear reading glasses but my eyes are only -0.5 and -0.25. I can read without them but only tend to use them if I am ready documents or for long periods of time.

Had glasses since I was 13, and every time I get a new pair it takes several attempts to get anything decent (the last time I tried, the glasses I bought made everything look distorted to the point they made me feel sick).

I don't need glasses to see clearly, but I do have some to help with the colourblindness.

As a kid I genuinely believed that folk who were colourblind actually saw the world in black and white like an old movie. :fp:

Some practically do (I think), depending on the type and severity of the colourblindness.

Mine are probably bad enough that I should wear glasses sometimes, I'm not really sure. Doesn't cause me any difficulty unless I need to see the detail of something either small and a moderate distance from me, or large and a long distance from me.

My eyesight went really bad towards the very end of university, and I thought I would have to get glasses very soon. Then I stopped partying every day, my eyesight gradually improved and has thankfully stayed that way.
