I hope posting that in this thread tore your gaming soul asunder to such a degree that you created a Horcrux.

None of us here have ever been able to hope again.

Really really don't like how B is accept and A is cancel - very unintuitive for me. I shall persevere though, won't be beaten by this!

Also skeletons are dicks.

I really want to play DS3 again but, because of portability, I keep coming back to DS1 every time. You know it's an amazing game when you feel giddy hearing that someone is trying it for the first time.

I am starting to feel like I actually want to; it'd be something different to play rather than just F76. Would take me a little while to re-learn the controls and timings, though.

By the time he gets back to it they'll have died of old age though.

I don't think Jawa can die of old age at this point, it would have happened by now surely?

Tbh I might die of old age first, Pedz.

Thought I'd get that in before anyone else did :-) .

So I spent a bit of time last night inching through Undead Burg and managed to get to the bonfire there - it's such a stressful experience  .

I creep along with my shield up the entire time just listening for footsteps, the lack of any background music (that I've noticed, at least) really adds to the "you're alone and you're going to die" vibe.

I do get the feeling that I'm completely unaware of where to go, there is zero hand-holding, I don't seem to have any objectives or anything that is pushing me on deeper into the level, other than morbid curiosity. Is it supposed to be like that, or have I missed the helpful quest-giver/merchant/fairy from Firelink Shrine?

Loving it though :toot:

The guy sitting next to the bonfire at Firelink gives you really vague hints for what to do next.

Yeah I talked to him as soon as I first arrived at Firelink, can't remember what he said now

I went down a lift and into New Londo and got killed by some ghosts so that was fun - guess I'm not good enough to explore that part yet. Undead Burg is the only place I'm focusing on, I assume I'll eventually hit something that destroys me and then I'll try somewhere else for a bit.

Your overall "goal" at this point is to ring two bells.

Where they are and how you get there though, that's the fun part.

Ah yes, that definitely does (wait for it...) ring a bell. I remember him mentioning one of them being in the depths or something. Should probably pay more attention from now on :slol:
