Btw if youve got this far, you'll definitely be able to crack on with bloodborne after.

Thanks, man. I gotta admit that I'm pleased with how far I've got; I know I'm not exactly breaking new ground, but I've got further than I expected to and that feels good :-) . I'm ready to tackle DS II, DS III and Bloodborne in the future!

Its amazing how your first trip through a souls game teaches you so much. For example I spent far too much of dark souls:

Hiding behind a sheild
Overencumbered and fat rolling/wasting all my stamina
Taking hits to the shield instead of dodging
Thinking the armour with the highest defense was the best
Always using heavy attack becuase I assumed it was the best

When I'd finished I was wearing a cloak, had ditched the sheild and was pumping all souls in to stamina so I could dodge enough and still have room for attacks.

I moved on to demons souls and pretty much breezed through it.

Bloodborne was really tough but I beat it.

Dark souls 3 I haven't had a sheild in hand, only on my back to raise some stats and two hand weapons, using only light attacks for speed.

I'm so chuffed that Jawa has made it this far into the game and hasn't given up. Videos have been really entertaining, I think I speak for the whole forum when I say we're so proud of you dude.

Can someone give me a nudge when he's approaching O&S though, I'd rather see his spirit get totally crushed live. Cheers.

Check... check... check... check! .

Yeah, my curently slow playstyle uses a lot of shield and I need to manage my stamina better during attacking. I think I'm gradually speeding up, though; and I've removed my helmet to help with my movement speed.

Everyone needs one

I keep one under the bed, just in case I need to slay a dragon or two. What with living in Wales it's essential.

I actually like them a lot as an individual enemy, they have a cool moveset, but the both-at-once phase really needed a better arena than the rooftop. If the roof had collapsed and you'd fallen into a bigger, more interesting (with some pillars or something) room it would be a better fight.

Yeah I agree. There is often nowhere to go and the fact they can just hit through each other and decide 90% of the roof is fire when they feel like it. Its pants. The slanted roof can also cause some odd things to happen. Some of the "fun" and games I had with them. DO NOT WATCH UNTIL YOU HAVE BEATEN THEM JAWA

To be honest I've never really had too much trouble with them, even on my first playthrough. As long as you can read the first one well enough to get in and do damage quickly, it should be mostly done by the time number 2 appears.

It's fairly standard, learn the signals for the attacks, respond accordingly.

I don't know if I'm "done" with Blighttown yet as I'm on my first play through and there may well be more to it that I haven't been through yet, but I always heard lots of people talking about the area like it was some major difficulty spike or something in the game but I never had much trouble going through it?

Okay!

I wasn't able to play yesterday, but I could do so now. Just need to get one chore out the way; I'll aim to start the stream at 16:20.

I was well pleased when I took it down, though. That boar helm sure does look cool :datass: .

The stream was then mainly about the Gargoyle kicking my butt. Repeatedly :x . I got a bit better, though; in one run I got about four hits on it  .

Finally, we had a classic moment of Souls comedy when some of the ghouls decided to have a dance-off  .

Thanks to Mafro and Grum for the clips  .

I remember on one of my runs up to the gargoyle I got invaded and the banana split was waiting for me by the fog gate. Split killed me and I went hollow.

Doesn't the Boar not respawn once you've killed it? I don't remember seeing since the first time?

Yeah, I'm playing in offline mode to avoid that kind of scenario!

I believe it stays dead, Jen. I can parade around wearing the boar helm now :-) . It's heavy, though, so probs better for show rather than using in battle.
