Just watched your video Jawa, very calm and measured approach, well done.

I notice you used light attacks too, did you see the benefit it gave?

Holy crap, the difference in your playing is immediately noticeable. JAWA GUT GUD. Keep her lit fella!

Yeah the difference between that and the earlier streams is really noticeable. You barely took any damage until the second Gargoyle turned up, and took none when there was only open left (I didn't realise the alst gargoyle spams the flame attacks so much, but you had become good at avoiding it).

Can't remember the next boss he'll face. Is it Capra Demon?

Yeah, I did wonder about that as I re-watched they vid  . I think I'd smashed it every time before that run!

Good spot, Ad - yeah, I generally stuck to light attack and exercised caution in - mainly - only trying for single hits. It paid off!

Squinty wrote:Holy crap, the difference in your playing is immediately noticeable. JAWA GUT GUD. Keep her lit fella!

Thanks, Squinty. In trying to defeat the 'goyles, I played that section a lot. I reckon I had, maybe, forty attempts?

Parksey wrote:...You barely took any damage until the second Gargoyle turned up, and took none when there was only open left (I didn't realise the alst gargoyle spams the flame attacks so much, but you had become good at avoiding it)...

I did have a decent start but I was nervous as, once the second Gargoyle arrives, it's tough to keep aware of the actions of both of them; especially if they start attacking and flaming right through each other. I managed to avoid most of the flame attacks and, where I didn't, I re-fuelled successfully. Once only one 'goyle was left I *really* didn't want to be defeated at that point and, thankfully, I stayed calm.

Things can't get any tougher, can they? :dread: . The adventure must continue and I plan on diving back in later this afternoon :) .

I never had a problem with the Capra Demon, it was his two bloody dogs that complicated matters!

I knew to get rid of the dogs as quickky as possibly and got lucky, killing them in one swipe before the Capra Demon caught up to me.

After that, you can use the environment to your advantage and basically lead him around in a circle, up the stairs and landing on him from above. He's not that hard on his own.

You've broken my heart Jawa. From now on I shall not be giving you any tips and I'll be taking extra joy from all your misery and failures.

You don't even have to kill the dogs first, just run straight up the stairs and onto the balcony, then turn round. It's pretty simple.

Anyhow, I plan on returning to the adventure a bit earlier than usual today. Planning to stream from around 14:15 (UK)... "I'm excited!" to see what we'll meet next!

Try not to read up on what's coming, it's so.much more fun taking those steps in to the unknown.

Yeah only start reading up on stuff if you've hit a dead end or an impasse in terms of an enemy you can't beat. Like I said before, you should read about your current point, but not what's ahead.

I'm trying to go in to DS3 somewhat blind at the moment. The danger is, with the series the way it is, you could always miss a chunk of content. We should be able to nudge your towards it though, in a relatively non-spoilery way.
