I beat the Moonlight Butterfly tonight, it was fairly easy in the end.

Unlike The Capra Demon who I met tonight. He's not nice is he...

Hexx is basically a monster. ;)

As I recall the conversations went like this

Hexx: Wow Bloodborne is a complex narrative of intricate lovecraftian lore that -

TWA: I stabbed an angry doggy in the face with an axe. Cool!

Hexx: :| This is why we can't have nice things :|

Just reminds me of this when I was streaming-

He paid good money for my clock once. 8-)
Had to ask for his money back though

I didn’t get money back did I?

Just a replacement as it was too noisy

Oh yeah. Only I never heard if you were happy with my replacement clock. I assumed it was disappointing.

I was so tense watching the final moments of his fight with the Iron Golem. I was on my train home, which is fine for the first stop or two, but then goes underground for a bit so I lose signal. I was sure I'd miss it, but luckily I came back in time to see his final triumph.

I think we all underestimated his ability and drive to push on with this.

Good going, TLG!

... :o . I've only battled Butterfly twice - earlier in my journey - but I bascially ran away 'cos it was too tough at the time. The window of opportunity for swiping the beast seemed to be really small. I guess I'll have to revist at some point!

I hope you're enjoying the action, Mafro. It was a long journey but we made it in the end! Trying to find the second bonfire was a tense time!

Man, yeah, I was sweating loads during that fight(s) . In my initial attempts I had thought he may be a bit of a blocker in progressing further but, after "a few" goes, I worked out his movement. It's hard to keep calm after a few failed attempts but I've learnt that Souls demands patience. Accept death and embrace learning!

Think I've worked out how I can fight Kalameet now.

Found a key whilst exploring the Oolacile township and that has led me to some giant bloke at the top of a tower who has shot the beast down for me.

Now to head in for the kill!

Doesn't feel like there is too much more to the DLC at this point? I haven't fully explored all of the chasm part yet as I don't have any divine weapons or transient curses to fight the ghosts down there so there may be a few more things in that area. There's must be somewhere else I haven't been yet as there is another lift shaft that I can get to the top of that must come up from somewhere!

Main game wise I think I must be nearly done as well - assuming the Lord Vessel doesn't open a whole new area?

He has been amazing. But I don't think he'd have done it without the streaming/advice/satnav/nagging to heal etc. The streaming alone has helped him focus. So good job chat! :toot:

Oh, definitely! If I had tackled the game myself, I'd probably have stopped playing at that big beastie right at the start. The stream viewers have provided me with encouragement and inspiration; their support has enabled me to persevere and this has resulted in Souls becoming one of my most enjoyable gaming experiences  .

It's definitely an experience that is better when you share it - support, encouragement and the odd hint from others are all a part of it I feel!

No summoning though obvs. ;)

I just wish he would go online with it. Even if he never goes human and just stays Hollow, he's missing out on the bloodstains and soapstone messages that add so much flavour and in some cases help point out the route to go. The route to Seath will be a nightmare for him without them.

Seriously Jawa, nothing will happen if you turn on the connection. No one can invade you if you are hollow.

That said, you've not really experienced Dark Souls until some arsehole interrupts your game to backstab you in their pants.

I dunno, I've been offline pretty much 100% of my DS1 play through on Switch (I've been playing on the go quite a bit and with a lot of stop/start play so it was getting annoying that it would kick me out every time I suspended or lost connection) and I haven't had too much trouble - the route to Seath wasn't that hard if you pay attention!

I do miss the messages from other players though, and getting invaded can be a laugh at times ... at others its a right strawberry floating pain - but that's half the fun! I enjoyed that side when I played DS3.

I forsee no problems when he gets to that bit then.

I'm on Switch as well and it is a pain in the arse when it loses the connection for whatever reason. It's not happened to me in any boss fights yet, but it's dropped during normal gameplay a few times.

I don't think I could cope with the rage of a drop out during a boss fight!

Reading all this is making me tempted to give one of these another chance, and then I remember how I don't like them and crack on with Sonic... 06.

If you don't replay Dark Souls I'm going to lord it over you forever that Jawa got further than you did.
