Unsure. IIRC I think Flash briefly comes back from the future and tells Bruce to get Lois. That's right after Bruce somehow dreams of parademons.

Flash said "you were right about him, wait I'm too early" the thoughts back then was that he was warning about Superman going evil much like Injustice. Which I guess may not happen now as DC is changing things movie by movie based on box office.

I'm seeing it again on Sunday. Not sure how it will hold up to multiple viewings. As I feel that most of Snyder's work gets better with repeat viewings. The directors cut of watchmen is wonderful as is the uncut version of Dawn of the Dead remake.

Wish my image sig would work

Watched a 1080p copy that s been floating around and glad I didn't watch it in the cinema. Just didn't find it as good as Batman Vs Superman which I'd watched last week again (Ultimate Edition) and I'm one who preferred the darker tones over the likes of the Avenger movies in B vs S so just thought it had been majorly toned down in comparison to the previous movie (Batman in particular)

Will happily wait for the Ultimate Edition if there is one. Oh and much prefer Grant Gustin's Flash over Ezra's Flash but then thats probably down to watching 4 seasons with him in it.

Maybe it's the negative reaction it was getting, but I was expecting it to be far worse than it was. Found it perfectly enjoyable, if not particularly exciting, interesting or original in any way.
Effects were very hit and miss in places, and the dialogue was awful at times, not to mention very cheesy.

I'd watch it again though. Better than BvS which was just a mess all over.

Recent reports seem to suggest that Snyder was fired from Justice League rather than leaving as a result of his own personal issues:

https://www.polygon.com/2018/2/13/17007872/zack-snyder-justice-league-fired

Even if he left in early 2017 that obviously didn't leave enough time to fix the issues with the film. Hopefully someone in Warner Bros. has really got a grip on things by now because the DCEU has got so much potential to tell some great stories - and provide a more useful foil to the MCU whilst it does it.

Now it's pretty much at the end of its theatrical it's looking pretty certain that Justice League is going to go down as the least successful movie in the short history of the DCEU - it's currently sitting on less money worldwide than Man of Steel.

What direction do people think WB need to go in order to sort out this mess?

They shot their load too early by having a team film before establishing each member of that team. They should have done a sequel to Man of Steel, then a Batman film, then Flash/Cyborg/Wonder Woman/Aquaman, then BvS, then Justice League, then sequels to the origin films, then JL2.

But now that they've already done JL there's less of a point in doing those origin films because we've already met the characters. Like in JL Aquaman goes back to his underwater kingdom and bumps into some woman who he clearly has a past with, but the audience doesn't know or care who she is because there hasn't been any setup to it. Same with Flash - he's already got his outfit in his basement or wherever he hangs out, but we don't see how he arrived at that point other than a couple of quick flashes (excuse the pun). An origin film of both of those characters would have been very welcome.

Such a mess :fp:

As for how to fix it - I don't know. Maybe just ignore what's gone before and go straight into a Tower of Babel film?

Should've just used Flash from the TV series.

Holy crap. Watching clips from the DVD online.

e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8NAWrKlsAU

It looks terrible. I knew we joked about the mustache, but the entire film just looks...rubbish

Imagine seeing that on the big screen - nowhere for the terrible CGI to hide.

Preezy - I agree that the Marvel route (or y'know just the logical route!) of doing individual movies as a build up to the ensemble would have been infinitely better, but as you say they've shot their load now. Is there a way back without needing to "reboot"?

I guess the plan is to now try and build up the characters with individual movies - there's one planned soon for Aquaman right? But does anyone still care enough to go back to it, I'm not so sure. Even after the relative success that Wonder Woman was at bringing some positive light to the franchise they still failed to follow through with it on JL - how many chances are the audience going to give them to get it right?

Was the Deathstroke end credit scene not in the cinema release? Just finished watching it again (was actually more enjoyable on the 2nd viewing for me) let the credits run and was surprised at another scene that wasn't in it before.

There's a bit early on where Bruce Wayne is talking to Aquaman outside as he's walking away from him and you can clearly see that Ben Affleck's head has been photoshopped on as they've re-filmed his lines or his delivery etc. It's obvious enough, but then you can actually see that Affleck's got more of a tan than in previous scenes, looks like he's popped off for a quick sunbed in the Bat Tanning Booth

It was definitely in the theatrical release.
