Obviously you shouldn't judge a movie by it's trailer however, just like Man of Steel and BvS, that whole thing just screams "Look! All these characters are important and awesome and you should like them and care about the things their doing!" without giving me single strawberry floating valid reason why I should.

I'll give it a chance but there's a hell of a lot of work for DC to do to impress.

Also Aquaman, Flash, and the other guy (Cyborg?) just feel so... "B list" for want of a better term. Not in terms of their comic book history or standing, but these representations and portrayals of them so far just seem so lacking in character.

Justice League was always going to be big. It is, after all, the crown jewel of the DCEU so far; the culmination of Zack Snyder’s unofficial trilogy following the introduction, death and resurrection of Superman that establishes three new heroes and brings back three more all while setting up a myriad of future DCEU movies.

IMDb has listed Justice League‘s runtime as 170 minutes or 2 hours 50 minutes. That’s a good 20 minutes longer than Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice‘s theatrical cut which came in at a little more than two-and-a-half hours.

This is going to be a disaster  :fp:

Joss Whedon's directing a Batgirl movie!

Batgirl is flying solo. The superheroine is getting her own standalone movie from filmmaker Joss Whedon.

Whedon is nearing a deal to write, direct, and produce an untitled Batgirl pic for Warner Bros. as part of its DC Extended Universe.

No other producers are currently attached. Toby Emmerich, president and chief content officer of Warner Bros. Pictures Group is overseeing with Jon Berg and Geoff Johns. The new project originated in the past month.

Batgirl is one of the most popular superheroines in the world, but has never gotten her own movie. The project will also feature other characters from the world of Gotham.

Batgirl first appeared in DC Comics in 1967 as Barbara Gordon, the daughter of Gotham City police commissioner James Gordon in “The Million Dollar Debut of Batgirl!” by writer Gardner Fox and artist Carmine Infantino.

The Batgirl project will be the second movie from DC Films to star a female lead after Gal Gadot’s “Wonder Woman,” which opens June 2. Extensive footage was shown Wednesday at CinemaCon.

That's a shock. Presumably it's going to be Borebora Boredon though and not Stephanie Brown.

Can it be Rosario Dawson again? :shifty: Not interested in Joss Whedon, though :dread:

Early reviews seem really positive for Wonder Woman. Could this finally be a great DCEU movie?

WW was the best thing about the turd that was BvS so maybe her solo movie will be ok.

Let's face it, it can't be any worse than Suicide Squad.

Looks like Wonder Woman is actually decent, then.

Only took them 4 movies to get it right (though I have soft spot for MoS).

Got my tickets booked for Thursday.

I'm still waiting for post release impressions, I remember reading a load of praise on Twitter for BvS when that was being shown to the press and then things nose-dived once the general public got their hands on it.

Have to say I didn't think all that much of Gal Gadot in BvS either, but I'd be very happy if they finally turned out a good movie.

After BvS and Suicide Squad I was expecting nothing from Wonder Woman, then when the reviews it I started to think it might be decent. I saw it earlier tonight and actually, it turns out the film is actually pretty strawberry floating great! Right up until the final act it's actually one of the better superhero movies of recent years. Gal Gadot and Chris Pine are absolutely terrific and it strikes exactly the right campy, comic book tone while somehow managing to depict World War One well too. It's a massive shame the final act descends into CG nonsense very reminiscent of Batman v Superman, but that doesn't do much to take away from an otherwise great blockbuster.

94% on Rotten Tomatoes! Pleasantly surprised to hear Gadot is good in it. I liked her in BvS but didn't think she'd be able to carry a movie.
