I've never noticed how much Peacemaker's costume is like Orions. (From the Fourth World)

I'm genuinely intrigued to see if they can manage to make a movie that is actually worse than the first Suicide Squad because that would be quite the achievement!

Given that it's a James Gunn superhero moive, I'll be shocked if it's not far and away better than every other DCCU film.

Yeah but are we going to get Guardian's of the Galaxy James Gunn or Scooby Doo 2: Monster's Unleashed James Gunn?

Watch this end up being the best DC Universe film.

Looks like they're going for a goofier tone and with the random obscure characters they're picking they're gonna have fun with it. Way more appealing than the dark, serious DC films with the grim colour palettes.

This will be an interesting experiment, but I'm not sure how to interpret the outcome if the film is bad.

Apparently Marvel's approach is a bit 'design by committee' at times, where they even have a specific team help workout big action sequences with directors. This is meant to be one of the reasons they're happy using directors who haven't done big budget action films before.

If this fails does it mean that individual Marvel directors actually don't matter too much - as it's the teams behind the screens that are the real talent, and Gunn isn't as talented as it seems - or will it just be an example that DC get in their own way and can't consistently make hits, even with a proven writer/director.

The whole squad:

It looks dreadful but I'll hold out judgement. Rocket Racoon and Groot were stupid looking until we saw the movie and they were great.

That strawberry floating shark though

Part of the appeal can be "come watch these annoying assholes get killed"

I'm expecting the majority of non-Margot Robbie characters to have been killed off by the end of the film.

Looks decent as long as they dont just use King Shark as a Groot imitation and please dont have licensed Music every 5 minutes.
